Welcome back Fellow Darkish!
The cheerful buzz of the market fades as sudden screams pierce the air. Three men drag a terrified innkeeper from a nearby building.
The crowd freezes in fear around you… will you do the same?

MAP DESCRIPTION
The Humble Quarter is located in a modest part of the city, inhabited by straightforward folk, just like the neighborhood itself.
Buildings here have simple, square shapes, whether they’re homes or small shops. They’re built without frills or decoration, but with good wood and solid bricks. The district seems fairly old, as the worn facades and damaged paving clearly show.
The structures feature characteristic flat rooftops, often used by the locals and accessible via interior or exterior staircases. The neighborhood is made up of rather narrow alleys, and it’s not uncommon for someone to attempt rooftop jumps, usually thrill seeking kids, though sometimes it’s a thief running from the guards.
In the small square between the houses, a modest market brings the district to life, supplying both essentials and gossip to citizens and adventurers passing through.
Life flows seemingly peacefully in the Humble Quarter, with the chatter of people and the cheerful calls of merchants broken only by the occasional brawl, usually started by a drunkard or a clumsy thief who got caught.
What brings you to this humble district, seemingly full of good, honest folk?
NOTES
Humble Quarter is a narrative, versatile encounter map that will enrich and structure your urban combat: climb onto rooftops to strike from above, hide in narrow alleys or behind crates to launch surprise attacks, and use every corner to your advantage!
The Market: The stalls are perfect for stocking up before heading out—but merchants don’t just trade dried meat and biscuits. Information is the most valuable resource for adventurers, and like anything else, it has a price.
The Rooftops: These flat roofs are great for scouting, ambushing, or escaping. Don’t underestimate the strategic value of higher ground!
Houses and Shops: The buildings follow a uniform style. You’re free to decide whether they’re all private homes, or if some might serve as taverns, shops, or inns.
Compatible Maps: This map is part of the Central City collection and pairs perfectly with the other maps in the series.
