Welcome back Fellow Darkish!
The house was in perfect order. A pot simmering over the fire, the table neatly set, the scent of freshly baked bread lingering in the air.
And yet, like the rest of the village, it was empty.
No signs of a struggle, no hurried escape. Just an unnatural silence.
As if the villagers had vanished all at once—dissolved into nothingness.
What happened here?

MAP DESCRIPTION:
Villager House is a simple wooden home, likely built by the very hands of those who lived here or by their ancestors a generation or two before.
The furnishings are modest and practical, yet comfortable.
The house consists of a single large room, where the space is divided by a central wooden cabinet—serving as both the main storage area and a makeshift partition, providing a semblance of privacy for those who wish to sleep or wash.
The numerous crates, sacks, and barrels tell the story of a simple rural life, where stockpiling supplies is essential for surviving the harsh winters.
Pickled vegetables, a spinning wheel, and a sewing machine speak of the lady of the house—likely a skilled woman, capable of crafting and preparing nearly everything her family needs.
A single, large bed dominates the space, where the entire family huddles together at night to fend off the cold.
Someone in the house knows how to read—and perhaps even write—as evidenced by the presence of a few books.
Everything appears normal. Ordinary, even.
Nothing suggests why a group of adventurers would find themselves drawn here.
But there is always a reason. You just have to uncover it.
NOTES
Villager House offers dynamic and unpredictable encounters. The sheer number of objects provides countless opportunities for improvised weapons—whether it’s a knife, a rake, or even a broken bottle.
This map is a perfect fit for villages in our collection, such as Forsaken Village or Farmer Village.
The residents of this house could be innocent farmers in danger… or the deranged serial killers you’ve been hunting for so long.
Sneaking into someone’s home to investigate is always fun, but getting caught red-handed by the owners—or worse, the guards—might lead to a fight you didn’t anticipate..

Welcome back, Fellow Darkish!
It’s been a while since we created an interior map, but since you loved Farmer Village and Forsaken Village, some of you asked us to add indoor locations for these settings—and as you know, we always try to listen!
We decided on a simple yet spacious farmhouse, offering enough room for movement while maintaining an authentic rustic charm.
We’re sure you’ll find plenty of intriguing ways to use this map, and we can’t wait to see what secrets you hide behind its seemingly ordinary appearance!
We hope you’ll enjoy the countless hand-drawn details, including some lesser-known objects like the butter churn!
Let us know what you think—if you like the map, leave us a like and tell us how you plan to use it!
That’s all for this one, dear Fellow Darkish!
We wish you, as always, great adventures and NAT20s,
The Darkest Maps Team
