Welcome back Fellow Darkish!
Instead of the usual sweet and efficient Elves, this year’s Christmas gifts are being prepared by chaotic and clumsy Goblins.
No one can say if your gift will be a cuddly teddy bear or a stick of dynamite.
It’s best to intervene before someone gets hurt.

MAP DESCRIPTION:
Swampy Gift Workshop is a wooden depot hidden deep in a swampy forest.
As you trudge through the frozen mud, you notice debris scattered everywhere, and two large trees are strangely decorated with rags, colored glass, and… bones?
A thick wall of brambles prevents passage between the trees, forming a natural fence around the depot visible beyond.
Once past the brambles and trees, a large sign full of instructions, work shifts, and other information explains what goes on in this hidden place.
Numerous stables indicate that some type of animal is often used for transporting the produced goods or for some other purpose.
The guard Capybara, lying placidly on the straw with its strange and glowing red nose, wears a key around its neck, probably the one for the large gate, apparently the only official exit from the area.
Inside what you discover to be a toy workshop run by Goblins, there is a great hustle and bustle. Large piles of junk and toys are thrown into a strange machine that, amid clanking noises and curses, poorly wraps them.
A sleigh is then loaded with sacks of these packages, ready to depart to who knows where.
The strange scene certainly has an explanation, and it’s up to you to find out what it is!
NOTES
Swampy Gift Workshop is a perfect map for a festive and absurd one-shot, suitable for inserting between your party’s adventures.
A Fireball would certainly get you through the brambles, but it would attract everyone’s attention.
The Gate or workshop key is around the neck of the Guard Capybara.
The Wrapping Machine doesn’t seem to run on electricity. There might be goblins inside manually wrapping the gifts and moving the conveyor belt, amid curses.
Goblins, stupid or evil? The gifts might just be bad gifts, but if you want to add a more sinister touch to the adventure, the real toys present could be stuffed with explosives.
The Billboard at the entrance might contain useful clues on how to approach the Guard Capybara without being attacked, or various reminders from the Goblins that could give you valuable hints.
Santa Claus might have been kidnapped by the Goblins, and one of the objectives could be to rescue him.
The Swamp is a perfect map to use as access to this one.
3 maps in One: This map, the size of four A4 sheets, can be conveniently divided into three different sections as shown in the diagram: Entrance, Capybara Courtyard, and Workshop.
Goblins and Capybaras are the most common enemies you will encounter on this map, but nothing prevents the Guard Capybara from leading a group of much fiercer monsters. The comic effect of a Capybara leading a group of hippogriffs would be assured. After all, it’s known that Capybaras get along with all animals and have no predators, right?
Happy holidays, Fellow Darkish!
This year, we’re offering you a festive and wintery map, perfect for a fun and relaxing game with those friends you usually can’t organize with!
It’s definitely a more specific and comic map than usual, but we really enjoyed creating this somewhat crazy idea and hope you have just as much fun using it for your adventures!
This map is a collaboration with our friend, Raffo’s LAB, a fantastic craftsman who produces wonderful accessories for TTRPGs, who created the story and design for this project!
We were really happy he proposed this idea to us and allowed us to offer you the result because this madness is really too fun to play, and we would have been sorry to keep it to ourselves xD.
We invite you to visit his Instagram profile and website; his Tokens and GM Screens are really beautiful!
That’s all for this map, Fellow Darkish!
We wish you, as always, happy holidays, great adventures, and NAT20!
