MAP DESCRIPTION:
The Bandit hideout entrance might look like an ordinary mountain cave if it weren’t for the numerous crates and barrels cluttering the passage.
The menacing flag planted at the entrance, the guards watching the surroundings from the heights, and the weapons scattered near the cave send a clear message: don’t loiter around.
The path crosses a small wooden bridge and leads directly to the hideout, skirting the mountain.
All around the main road, the heights provide a complete view of the area, making the sentries’ job very easy.
If a hideout is so well defended, you can be sure there’s something inside worth… recovering.
NOTES
Bandit Hideout Entrance is an encounter map that offers a lot of dynamism to combat and will reward a group capable of intelligent positioning and ranged combat.
Wooden ladders and natural elevations allow access to every height on the map.
The heights surrounding the entire map can host wizards or archers who can attack the group from above.
The barrels and crates in the hideout might contain explosives. It’s worth trying a fireball.
Wading the river to hide from the guards is a solution. You can climb up thanks to the rocks under the bridge near the hideout entrance.
The bandits in the hideout might be alerted by a sentry blowing a horn or trumpet, greatly increasing the difficulty of the encounter.
The hideout could be yours or that of your allies! Defending the area instead of invading it will completely change the dynamics of the encounters.
Here we are with the third and final map of the month, Fellow Darkish!
We return to the rocks, discovering the entrance to a bandit hideout! A well-guarded area that you will have to access through cunning or brute force.
Soon, the interior of the hideout will also be available, which we are sure you will love!
In the meantime, we leave you with this beautiful encounter map that we are sure will find a place in many of your adventures.
In a few days, we will publish the December Poll, where we invite you, as always, to cast your vote and leave a comment describing the map you would like us to create.
We always take all your suggestions into consideration, so don’t miss the chance to see the map you desire come to life!
That’s all for this map, dear Fellow Darkish!
We wish you, as always, great adventures and NAT20!
