MAP DESCRIPTION:
Floating Altar is an ancient monument that was involved in a mysterious event, lifting itself from the ground along with the rocks it stood upon.
The altar displays mysterious glowing symbols, which are said not to have been illuminated before it began to float.
Around the main body, numerous rocks create a difficult path to traverse.
The smaller rocks risk tipping over if stepped on without caution, and even the larger ones sway dangerously.
Be cautious and solve the mystery behind the events that made this structure the Floating Altar!
NOTES
Floating Altar hides many mysteries and can be used for epic battles or to provide interesting riddles, perhaps inscribed on the six towers.
The glowing runes might provide buffs or debuffs or require specific interactions to be activated or deactivated.
The altar could be a Portal that transports those who manage to activate it to different Planes or locations. It is not at all certain that the floating rocks have always been where they appeared.
The wobbly rocks could be difficult terrain or even cause enemies or allies to fall prone if moved on carelessly.
Last map of the month, Fellow Darkish!
A generic and versatile altar but with a bit of extra spice.
How high is it? What purpose does it serve? Did it appear in the sky suddenly or did it detach from the ground for some reason?
We don’t know, but we are sure that many of you have come up with a lot of original ideas just by looking at it!
We think it can offer many ideas in its simplicity and as always, we hope you like it and can use this map and its versions on many occasions!
That’s all for this month, Fellow Darkish, but we’ll be back very soon to discover together what you will vote for and suggest in the August Poll post, which we will publish in a few days!
We wish you, as always, great adventures and NAT20!
