In the middle of the forest, well hidden among the leaves, there is a natural gem whose sparkling waters will enchant the heroes who manage to reach it: Forest Pools.

These wonderful thermal springs make the surrounding air humid, warm, and fragrant, and invite you to immerse yourself in their warmth.

MAP DESCRIPTION:

Advancing along the path that crosses the natural pools that the centuries and water have carved into the rock, we come across a small shallow lake fed by a clear waterfall.

Here, unlike in the pools, the water arrives fresh from the mountain spring: The magic that makes the pools warm happens right in this small clearing.

In the center of the lake stands a large tree with scarlet foliage, surrounded by ancient stone pillars.

This magical place is much loved by the creatures of the forest: fairies, spirits, animals, and elves share the enchantment of these sources.

Will you be considered worthy of accessing these places, or will you have to prove your worth before advancing towards the lake and immersing yourself in these waters?

NOTES:

• Initiation and birth rites, funerals, rites of passage to adulthood... a place like this, with its sacred tree and pure waters, is perfect for hosting important ceremonies of races and cultures related to nature.
• Noble purposes or strong motivations could make it easier to access Forest Pools, in case it is inhabited or protected by intelligent creatures such as Elves. Prepare to explain why you invaded this place without an invitation and maybe you could be well received.
• Healing sources, magic trees... things of sure interest for many malicious peoplewho could want to appropriate or corrupt them. Will you be the heroes who will protect them?
• The surrounding forest can hide many dangers, and rocks would be perfect as a point from which skilled Elven Archers could decide to make you their next target.
• The numerous differences in height and the various pools of water will not make it easy to move quickly or fight, and a small clearing can be easily surrounded and attacked from above. Be careful if you enter without an invitation.

We had been wanting to draw this type of setting for a long time, inspired by real natural wonders! We believe they are truly evocative!

In a few days we will publish the third and final map of the month, that of the November Pull!
