Just mood. LARP in my region sucks sometime that I really want to say fuck I'm done.

We all hit a moment at times with the LARPs we love where we need to take a break. Sometimes its setting, often its people, but there is nothing wrong with taking a break and coming back later loving it more.

Yup, about once a year, I think, "What's the point?" However, I have found this is certainly something we all need to consider in our various hobbies. Usually, I find inspiration in the people I teach, because watching them grow has become a big thing for me.
Sometimes you just need to walk away from things for a bit, take the chance to unwind, and look at things from a different perspective. Then find the joy in whatever it might be and focus on that.
Had some hard spots where intra- and inter-group politics were being a pain... so I dumped it, left the politics behind to focus on what I want to do.

Sometimes you just have to do a thing for yourself. I haven't LARP'd in years, but I still love the idea of acquiring pieces of armor and weapons and just dressing up for faires or other events. You've actually been a good amount of inspiration for that, as well as leading me down the rabbit hole that is buhurt.

its like that in every region. People come and go and it gets fun again.
Be the world you want to live in. With a sword.

Burning out of a passion reaaaaaaaally sucks, Lily. I hope that it was just a bad run and that things improve!

Sorry, I don't know where you are located, but I am sorry your local group is being sub par. Maybe there is a different group close enough.

Aye fair, I've had few sword events where I just sat there thinking "the fuck am I doing here?".
Personally I've had to basically take breaks from being "staff" to "just a rando" to get a break and actually get to enjoy them. We now have a revolving system where we "tag out" for a bit and someone else takes over.
Obviously I don't know if that's even remotely similar to your situation but that vibe reminded me of that.
