And then there is the matter of who the old men who taught the ladies how to fight had been in a prior life... Right? It would be some decades before the reputation of a certain order would be cleared, most people believed the charges levelled by both King and Pope. Certainly there had to be rumors about how these girls had acquired these skills so quickly.
