And one of my favorite gags was to casually take it off (while people laughed at the position I had to take to do so), and casually ask a bystander to ‘hold this for a minute’. Another trick was to let somebody put it on, then, ‘Okay, take it off.’ (For those who don’t know, my smallish shirt weighed a good 20 lb, and you can’t just pull it off like a T-shirt. Standard procedure was to bend over at the waist so that your shoulders were at about waist height, and let gravity help.)
