Women's sumo
Added 2024-04-05 18:16:34 +0000 UTCA whole new vision to me that I learned women's sumo wrestling already existed in late Edo period and even much earlier in Song Dynasty. It as a form of entertainment show in Song, and as both entertainment but could be sacred ritual as men's sumo in Edo.

The Greeks did it, the Japanese do it, and I guess in a way American football fans do it since they're always giving Jesus credit for winning (yet never blame when they lose). But it's just weird to me. I mean, aren't sports about as secular as you can get?
