I have to ask. Did you get some inspiration from this? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fontevraud_Abbey. This abbey in Aquitaine is the burial place of Eleanor of Aquitaine. It was also a double monastery home to both monks and nuns, but was-except for its founder- always lead by a Abbess over both men and women. Six of those Abbesses were Bretons, including one daughter of a ruling Duchess of Brittany.
