Red Alert! TPC Cracking Down on Pokemon Artists?
Added 2019-05-05 15:34:44 +0000 UTCThis is something I feel you guys should know, as it could greatly affect me and many other artists in the future. Apparently, an artist has been pinged by Nintendo/Patreon to take down their art, which was mostly pokemon-related.
There isn't much info to go on here, and I hope to inquire more about the details of this artist soon, but we're hoping it's a momentary lapse as a result of the Detective Pikachu movie. I should be able to provide more information hopefully soon.

Even if Nintendo succeeds in blocking Patreon artists who draw a pokemon-related art, I think you can get around the problem easily. I mean, you can create "original characters" that are "REALLY inspired by" the Pokemon franchise, you know what i mean ?
