Hey Boom, so when you mentioned Luffy's metabolism vs the poison, I doubt his metabolism would help because his immune system would have to be strong enough to fight the poison off. On the other hand, there's a theory that Luffy actually lost this fight faster BECAUSE he used Gear 2. Because the main mechanic behind Gear 2 is that Luffy is pumping his blood faster as a type of doping effect. So Gear 2 would have made the poison actually circulate throughout his body even faster than it normally would have.
