The Desert Map Assets
Added 2020-11-28 08:42:45 +0000 UTC
5 sandy textures and 65 desert-themed map assets.
About the time November kicked off, Troy and I began pondering our big Christmas project and, being two Aussies, we decided to give it a summery, desert spin.
Inside you will find sandy textures, nomadic tents, bones, stones, and all sorts of desert flora. I touched upon a variety of deserts familiar and unfamiliar to myself, which I hope you find it to be a satisfying variety.
I know just how popular a request desert assets have been, so I'm glad share these at last!

Do you have any plans for these map assets yet? Please share them in the comments! I for one think it's almost time to run another Wild West one-shot...

We're still working on these. I'll send you a notification before the end of the month when they're complete! :)

I'm glad to hear it, Eyewarp! I have a recent blog post that will answer your question well - please enjoy:

Sure thing! I'll get some pictures sometime soon. I've been very (very) slowly editing the asset packs into printable sheets and so I don't have all of them printed off yet, but I'm slowly getting there. Hopefully by the time I can actually play in-person DnD again

I can't tell you how happy I am to see this! I'm working on putting together a desert campaign right now and this saves me so much trouble! Quick question, apologies in advance if this has been answered elsewhere and I missed it: I'd like to try making my own custom assets and tokens and I'd like them to fit in with everything else. What software and brush/pen/etc. tools do you use for your work?

Hi Roju! Not yet. It takes us some time to convert new stuff into Dungeondraft, and we currently have a significant backlog we're working through. Only the Dungeondraft stuff in the post below will work for now without doing any conversions yourself:

If you do want to convert new stuff yourself, this is the video guide I recommend:

I hope that helps!

I can't seem to get the file structure to export so I can convert it. Anyone else having the same issue?

If you know how to make a asset package in Dungeon draft a lot of his stuff can be used in there. I put all the cyber punk assets in a file so I could use them there. There are some things that have issues but it is usually the textures. With the cyber punk stuff for example I was able to get the concrete tiles to work but not the Road tiles. To get the road tiles to work you need to treat them like stamps. scaling can get a bit touchy but it works.

These are awesome! I print these out on transparent paper and I think these will go very nicely as scenery pieces when I eventually play again.
