The Modular Rooftop Assets
Added 2020-08-27 15:14:02 +0000 UTCA versatile collection of roof "chunks" that you can assemble into any sort of tiled rooftop you might need!
This asset pack is one I've been mulling over for a long time, wondering how best to structure it and balance it between versatility and simplicity. I hope I've found that balance.
These assets are broken down into these categories...
- Surfaces, in various sizes and even with upper and lower foreshortening.
- Valleys, for the intersection between two perpendicular surfaces.
- Eaves, in two orientations and multiple sizes.
- Ridges and hips, for the peaks of your rooftops.
There are also pre-assembled gables and simple rooftop configurations, as well as a chimney and some friendly white smoke.
Please take these for a spin and let me know what you think! I've made a few demo buildings for the Patreon rewards and found it to be like a fun jig-saw, but I'm just one perspective.
And tell me what you think - would you like to see more of these in thatch, wood, and more? Now that I've spent the time to figure out how best to break them down, creating more should be a breeze.

2020-08-31 13:24:15 +0000 UTCNon-European roof styles please - flat adobe 'desert' style - asset variations: roof-top water cisterns, drying fruit, drying laundry, chicken coop, ladders to the street, stairs to the roof, small roof-top storage areas thatched, variable roof heights, alley covering eves (shade - fabric, wood or tile), mashrabiya aka harem windows, minarets, domes (various colours and textures - double domes), inner courtyard (sehan) features (howz geometric fountains, palm trees, shade trees).
