Your 2-Minute April Update

Good morning everyone! I'm afraid I don't have any April Fools jokes for you, just a hearty 2-Minute update.

If I had planned it in advance I would have called it Magic March, or something like that, because the past month unintentionally took on a very high-fantasy magical theme. We have a magical dungeon, store, and terrain feature! Why, even the vineyard seems like a likely investment for a well-to-do wizard.

This March I released...

The first thing I'd like to address is the COVID-19 crisis that is affecting each and every one of us. All I want to say is to please, if your financial situation is becoming strained, consider downgrading or pausing your pledge.

I'm so grateful for your funding, but I am currently sheltering with my family and spending very little money, so I can afford it! I would not want any of your money if I knew it was scarce, so please put me last on your list of priorities. <3

My hope is that my maps might make your isolation or quarantine a little more entertaining, and help keep you in touch with your friends and family. I'm so glad that I can contribute in this small way, and it's all thanks to you generous folk.

As for April, I have big plans with all of this time I have! My girlfriend is weathering the pandemic in Japan and I in Australia, so I have nothing to do except happily work and play Animal Crossing. I'm taking the opportunity to work on a few projects that I know you'll appreciate, but I'm keeping them a secret until they're further along. Consider this your exclusive teaser. ;)

As for maps, I want to draw another building and another dungeon. What themes would you like to see? I am quite settled on a stable that might attach onto the Typical Tavern. I'm clueless when it comes to the dungeon though (help!)

I also have the other two maps underway, which you may have seen appear in the community Discord. I hope to see you there!

Your Coupon

And finally, you can grab a free $1 map with the coupon lovecraftianfurbyinvasion valid until the end of the month. You can browse the selection here

As always, thank you from the bottom of my heart! Making maps for such a wholesome community brings me endless joy, and it's all thanks to you.

Please go ahead and leave any questions/comments/feedback you may have below – I read every one!

Indeed! Haha. I'll probably make more but here are my Aus-inspired maps so far, including that bushfire relief one: – https://2minutetabletop.com/gallery/australian-billabong/ – https://www.patreon.com/posts/river-rapids-27936536 You can grab some white-trunked eucalyptus map "frames" below, too. :) https://www.patreon.com/posts/australian-33244494 (I see that you've already commented there, haha)

How on earth did I not know you're Aussie too? I remember your bushfire relief map but I didn't realise. I'd *love* some maps with eucalyptus trees, like the nice white trunks, if you were ever looking for ideas.

magneticsouth

I think this may be the one! I'm also craving some cold.

The one numbered (1) in the download, or the one on the far bottom right of the token customiser. It's a woman with a cloak flowing to the left.

Casey River

Absolutely! Which one did they use?

Ross from 2-Minute Tabletop

Hi! Im sorry to be yet another request :( I recently showed my players to your token customiser and found three if them all selected the same mini quoting lack of choice. Will you be expanding on your selection of heroes in the future?

Casey River

An astral sea dungeon would be cool, and could potentially allow for a scifi variant?

I'm recently trying to get into using roll 20 to greatly help my ability (and motivation) to run games, and coming across your assets and maps has been a huge motivator in that field, and I can't thank you enough. As for dungeon, there was a frightening lack of snow in my area this year, so I've been itching for more cold/winter themed areas- what about a dungeon set inside a blizzard-torn mountain, in which the party must weave in and out through the treacherous elements outside to further explore the depths of the ruins within?

Rin

I'm an old fart that just to back into the hobby. My friends and I startet our first Roll20 campaign yesterday after a 20 year absense of tabletop RPG. First session went great. As a GM that like to create my own setting I am in absolute love with your asset packs from your maps and your minor locations like the Spell shop. Something I can take and mold into my own. This is my first Patreon pledge ever and so overly satisfied with your content. So excited to see whats to come.

That was a lovely message. I am grateful for your work, I've shifted my son's game from in person to online and your assets are helping immensely in mitigating the lack of face time. I hope everyone is looking after themselves and staying safe at home.

I just wantedto say thanks! I run groups at school usually and am bereft of adventure during all this. I have started 2 new groups of friends completely new to RPG s playing on Roll20 and thanks to your maps, and especially the 2 Min token editor that I made their heroes through, I have been able prep and run some fun stuff for them, so I subbed as you are keeping 9 adults entertained and distracted. We used the cult lair as a 'kidnapped by the cult' adventure. It did not go well for the PCs....... I will keep subbing while all this is on as the fun and distraction your maps have provided is already worth it. I might send them into the sewers next....

I've been inspired by the Numenera setting (check it out if you haven't yet!) where advanced technology and its uses have been lost with time, only to be considered magical by those who find them in the future. Exploring a dungeon that was actually a long destroyed space ship would be fun!

Mighty Maddie

I've absolutely been adoring your work and my group has only benefited from my maps kitbashed from your assets! Thanks so much for providing all that you do! My group plays in the ravnican setting so anything that fits into a encropolis will be my vote. Perhaps an Azorius courthouse or a "records hall" that's a front for the massive Dimir spy network.

Brady

So happy to hear it!

Ross from 2-Minute Tabletop

Oooh, now that's a solid idea...

Ross from 2-Minute Tabletop

Very much so! Welcome and thank you, Sarah. :)

What I mean to say is: you're a priority for me

Jackaloop

Your maps are helping me and my friends get our only socialization. They love your hero tokens that I let them pick through when we started our Roll20 campaign after all of our physical campaigns died

Jackaloop

I’d love to see dungeons based on the individual schools of magic. What would a Master Diviner Lich use to protect his phylactery?

Loving your work! I'm a new sub and am happy to keep it going. Once this is all over I hope I can increase my tier. Hope you're enjoying ACNH!
