Castle Curtain Walls (Prerelease)

Hello! I have had quite the learning experience putting this one together, and I apologize that it's taken so long! Anyway, it's perfectly functional now, as you can see by my Roll20 mock-up above, and this post is a small prerelease before I release it "officially" along with a demonstration video in the next few days.

You will notice that this one doesn't come with a PDF, and that's because it seems there's no good way to print these pieces out. How many doors should be on a page? How many wall sections per corner? Will anyone bother with the wooden walkways? It's easy enough to print only the parts you need, but the paper-waste of that method sends a shiver down my spine.

Instead, I'm opting to make a guide on how to assemble your own printable castle in Gimp (which is free). This way, you could theoretically make your own self-tailored pieces printout, or print out an already-assembled section and save all the trouble of cutting and glueing them together. Much more tree-friendly, too!

This is only part one of (about) five of the Castle Tilesets, and there's already plenty that can be made. I'd love to see what you can create, or any  feedback you may have, in the comments. Enjoy!

Thanks! These are plenty modular, don't worry about that. I'm putting together a video guide today that will demonstrate all the options we have already, even with just this first pack. As for printing at home, I try and make it as easy as possible to do with a household A4/US Letter printer (<a href="http://2minutetabletop.com/index.php/printing-guide/)" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">http://2minutetabletop.com/index.php/printing-guide/)</a> and said video guide will lead to the same result. I imagine most castles will span multiple pages, but the only noticeable intersections will be at those page edges!

I'm beginning a video guide right now for GIMP and Roll20, which should help. :)

This is so awesome, man

Nice ! Do you guys have tips on how to add a battle 5 feet grid on top of the differents parts of the customable castle using those sprites :D ?

Looking really good man! I'd really appreciate a final product that's as modular as possible, being able to change the configuration of the walls would be wonderful, even if that results in repetitive sections or less detail. I've done quite a bit of research as to how much it would cost to print your maps, the best price I can get in my city is around $15-$20, and that's for a really low quality but sizable print with basic colors. Add the cost of lamination and printing more than a few maps becomes rather costly, not that it isn't worth it because they're beautiful maps. At this point, I'm just hoping for printer friendly versions that I can just print at home. Thanks again for all the great work, I've enjoyed watching the maps pile up!
