Meet Nova-9
Added 2025-02-14 21:29:32 +0000 UTCI've been working on this project and new set for weeks, but I wanted to wait until Valentine's Day to share it with you all.
Just as I created my original character, Vamps the Space Ranger, to pay tribute to Space Opera and retro sci-fi, I've long wanted to create another original character for cyberpunk-themed sets. But I didn't want her to be another adventurer or warrior—otherwise, too many ideas would overlap with Vamps' adventures. So, for a while, I felt a bit lost.
That was until a few weeks ago when I watched Subservience, the latest sci-fi thriller starring Megan Fox. And that’s when inspiration struck—I then decided to create my own futuristic robot/AI companion character, my tribute to iconic cyberpunk companions like the replicants from Blade Runner, Joi in Blade Runner 2049, Her, Detroit Become Human, Ex Machina, I, Robot, Bicentennial Man, A.I. Artificial Intelligence, etc
From there, I began shaping her, first her name (Nova-9), the logo/brand and graphic design elements, her first outfits and then thinking the kind of sets I want to create playing her. But this won't be just modeling sets, because I want it to evolve interactively. After some (not all) shoots, I’ll offer simple choices, and based on your votes (through polls or comments), the set will take different directions. Will Nova-9 be playful, serious, or sweet? Her personality will develop based on your decisions.
I don’t yet know exactly where this interactive set will lead or how many photos I'll be able to create each month, but I believe it will be an exciting game.
