✒️ Main Mod Description

This mod creates a better overview in the pie menu structure for some objects in the game, e.g. sim, computer, TV, stereo, fridge, stove, mirror etc... The main goal is to make the search faster with suitable icons. In addition, the priority of unimportant folders has been decreased and the priority of the important folder has been increased instead. A few new overcategories were also created and the sub-folders reorganized.

This mod only overwrites the so-called Pie Menu Category Tuning of some menu categories. Not a single interaction tuning was overwritten! The restructuring is done via a script, so you need to allow scripting in your game settings. Conflicts can only arise with the same mods that also modify the category tuning of the pie menu or also arrange interactions differently through scripts.

✅ Update Notes Version 2.5.0

The main focus of this update lies in the further development of the folder structure of social interactions and optimization of the mod:

• Anticipating that the new family extension might mess up the social interactions, I split the mod into two parts (main core and social addon). For more information see below.
• The Social Friendly Interactions menu has had a major visual change with new top and subcategories. Many new social interactions have been categorized.
• For a long time I tried to get by with only strings from the game, but now it's not enough for me anymore. The mod now also contains its own strings. So far it's just a few, but that means it needs translation now.

Main Core & Addon

The main core concerns pie menus on objects and the self-interactions on the sim. The social interactions are now in an addon for two reasons:

• First of all, it's not final yet and I'm still testing, searching and trying. This means that the structure is changed often and cardinally with each update until I find it optimal and beautiful. This may not please everyone, then you can delete this addon and you have the traditional social menu.
• The second reason is if the family expansions patch changes the social menu in a way that conflicts with my mod, you can then just delete the addon and just use the core of the mod without having to wait for me to fix the mod.

🚨 Compatibility Issues

The following mods have unresolvable compatibility issues that cause in-game error messages:

• Less Main Pie Clutter by Lumpinou

The following mods do not have any compatibility issues with Better Pie Menu Mod, but will cause the menus to look different than intended:

• Better Meal Time Menu by LittleMsSam (on the kitchen appliances);
• Carl's Sims 4 Gameplay Overhaul by Carl (on Sims social interactions);
• Complete Cooking Overhaul by Srslysims (on the kitchen appliances);
• Meaningful Stories by roBurky (on computers and refrigerator);
• Plumfruit by Arnie (on computers and tablets);
• Realistic Cooking Mod by Somik and Severinka (on fridge).

These minor conflicts do not cause the game to crash or generate LE errors. The result of these conflicts is that some of my menu tweaks no longer work because the mentioned mods are also overriding the same pie menu tuning, resulting in override contention. So you won't see all the improvements I've made to BPM. So players using BPM and the listed mods at the same time just don't see the full Better Pie Menu improvements. But there's no reason to delete either mod because you like both.

⚒️ Problems with BPM

Problem: Since I got the mod, I can't do anything with the computer (or on other objects) anymore. The menu has disappeared. If I click on the object, then everything hangs and then nothing happens.

Answer: The problem can occur when my mod conflicts with another one. This can only be the mods that change the EA Pie menus. Let me know which mod it conflicts with (or at least which objects the menu disappears on) and I'll try to find and resolve the conflict! The conflicts are unpredictable, but many are fixable!

🈯 Translations

The mod almost exclusively uses only pre-made strigs from the game, so no translations are needed here. The new cake menus are now available in all languages. Since version 2.5.0. the mod contains a few lines as names of the main categories. The lines are in my own translation in English, German, Spanish and Russian. There is also Google translation for Italian, Portuguese and Dutch. The other languages stayed in English because I can't control the automatic translation.

📌 General Installation Instructions

• Back up your current save files just in case!
• Download the zip archive and extract all files!
• Move the unzipped folder to your Sims 4 Mods folder!
• Path: Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > Mods
• Please delete all files of the previous version of the mod first!
• Delete the game cache files (how)!
