Howdy, wonderful people!
I tend to lose all my USB drives. You can tell by the photo above that when it came time to find some to actually test out this USB stand with, I had no idea where they'd all gone. So, that's why this exists, to (hopefully) give those poor, lost USB drives a home, and somewhere to look for them when I actually need one.
Of course, you've undoubtedly noticed by now that this is all just an excuse to play around with textures and filament swaps! This one's designed to allow a series of colour changes to colour the main body differently to the grille feature, and to the panel behind it as well. Fancy multimaterial systems are great, but it's still hard to beat the simplicity and effectiveness of a filament change mid-print!
Oh, and there's a cup-style caddy, too, just for a little extra stylishness.

Of course, there's no need to swap filaments at all - the Futuro style will still shine through in a simple, single-filament print:

Printing Tips
This one's easy! All the angles are friendly and there are no overhangs to worry about. Finding good places to swap filament over is probably best done in the slicer, but here are the settings I used for the two models in the photos (which were of course printed separately):
* Layer height 0.15mm
* Bottom 19 layers black
* Yellow for most of the body, then the final colour swaps:
* 3 layers of white
* 14 layers of black
* 5 layers of yellow at the very top.
The Futuro USB Stand prints on its side, with the grille part facing up:

The Futuro Caddy prints right-way-up, which also means the grille part faces up:

Print Dimensions
The Futuro Caddy occupies 74mm x 92mm on the print bed and is 84mm tall.
The Futuro USB Stand occupies 35mm x 128mm on the print bed and is 33mm tall.

Further Thoughts
Texture and filament changing go so well together, and it really is something I should explore more! Imagine a design where, for example, swapping the filament at a different point might change the overall visuals entirely... Patterns could be revealed! Hidden messages could appear....
Happy printing! :)
