Happy New Year everyone! Let's start 2020 with more print-in-place fun! I give you... The Chompy Box!
Now, this thing was originally called something like "double cog box" and maybe you recognise its predecessor from the last post, but once I pulled it off the bed and flicked the lid open it was immediately the Chompy Box. Those teeth! Chomp chomp.
Opening one side of the lid will clearly open the other, too. Press down on the outer bar to open it quickly! It's worth noting that pressing the two lid sides inward won't get you very far - the cogs will jam together. This could be mitigated a bit by tightening up the tolerances, but that would make it much harder to print without parts binding together, and this is not supposed to be a torture test!
This was another design than bounced around in my head forever before it finally became a reality, and the end product is much more fun than I anticipated at the start!
I'll be putting this up on MyMiniFactory in a few weeks as a paid download, but Creative Printer supporters will find the files in the Dropbox ready to download right now for free. Enjoy! â€ïž
