Hamlet in original Klingon

I am back from my last mini holiday trip. I leave you a bunch of pictures of my last Klingon Hamlet project for those of you who have been following the creation process!

It's been super fun to wear this cosplay in a convention like Destination Star Trek. The British trekkie community are really super nice! My live spoken English isn't very fluent, but that hasn't been a barrier to meeting lots of great people and connecting over a common hobby.

Now I have to practice and improve my Klingon pronunciation as well, so I can recite more lines from Hamlet :P
In case any of you are curious, I came in 1st place in the alien category of the cosplay contest and when I got on stage I recited the first line of the speech "To be or not to be". As I explained later there, I know that this is not the speech with the skull, but the "Alas poor Yorik", but I simply wanted to go out and show the skull prop and to agglutinate Hamlet concepts in the few seconds I had to parade on stage.

Now I have to confess that I'm very tempted to do a Klingon boudoir photo shoot for Patreon.... but without moustache and goatee this time 😂

Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. I gave several talks about Shakespeare in Star Trek for Louisiana Tech University's annual Shakespeare's B-Day Fest, and cosplayed as a Starfleet officer when I did, but now I wish I could time travel back and do one of the talks as a Klingon. But doing it as a Klingon Shakespeare, I would not have thought to do that. This outfit is just brilliant. Well done. BTW, have you seen A Klingon Christmas Carol? It's hillarious. I showed it on the last day of class for my English 102 class (I taught Dicken's A Christmas Carol as one of the readings for that class) as a bonus (so those who didn't want to watch it, didn't have to). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_Klingon_Christmas_Carol

It was these photos and the vid of you reciting Hamlet in the original Klingon that brought me here.

As someone who mentioned Klingon as an idea when I first joined, I am all for it! And the mustache! :D Also visiting that con sounded very wholesome. <3
