This project defines my character a lot, because I usually put too much effort into something that is born as a joke or a sillyness...
You know that in the movie Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country, Chancellor Gorkon says: "You've not experienced Shakespeare until you have read him in the original Klingon."
Well, this weekend is Destination Trek, the biggest Star Trek convention in Europe... and as you know I have A LOT of Star Trek uniforms, but I wanted to do something new, something original. And so, if Shakespeare was Klingon, I wanted to cosplay Klingon Hamlet!!
This has been a quick, fun project, done in a few days because the idea occurred to me last week. But many hours have been spent crafting on different techniques: sewing, prosthesis, molds, sculpture, painting, reenactment pattern making... Today (5 minutes ago) I finally have finished the suit (my flight is in a few hours XD), and on Saturday I will apply and make up the klingon prosthetic made of silicone and I will of course characterize myself with a goatee and moustache.
But before everyone can see the final result/transformation, I want to leave you with a "few" of photos of the creation process and the first test of my Klingon Hamlet project ❤️
TaH pagh taHbe'!
