Day 2 in Brunei — Eat, Play, Eat, Play

Around 9:30 in the morning, I was taken to a popular breakfast spot here called Ximply Chriz One Riverside. It’s a dining place located in an apartment complex by the river — and you can even order by scanning a code here.

My friend said, “If you’re lucky, you might spot a crocodile here.”
My reaction: “HUH? A CROCODILE??”
He replied, “YES.” Apparently, this crocodile is quite famous around here — her name is Delilah. You can even check out her Instagram, Delilah IG!
If you need the restroom, this place has one inside — just walk right in.

After finishing our meal around 10:00 AM, the total for two of us was about 25 Brunei dollars (around 1.56 USD).

At 10:30, we continued our sightseeing, but first, we stopped to fill up at Shell. Since it’s the only station around, and the price is less than 1 dollar per liter — even cheaper than bottled water 🤤🤤🤤🤤!

Next up!! My friend took me to one of the longest bridges in Southeast Asia — stretching a whopping 30 km!

Since March 2020, Brunei has had the Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Bridge, often called the Temburong Bridge. At about 30 kilometers long, it’s the longest bridge in Southeast Asia.

Crossing this bridge was such a thrill — from the iconic cable-stayed section to the parts that cut through mangrove forests and the sea. Besides saving travel time, the journey itself felt like a sightseeing bonus with amazing views on both sides.

It connects Brunei-Muara District directly to Temburong District, so residents no longer have to pass through Sarawak, Malaysia.
The waters here are full of different kinds of fish, no wonder so many people come here to fish.
After spending some time out in the sun, we decided to head back to the city. Since it was Friday, I needed to go for Jummah prayer.

I wonder, where will I go for Jummah prayer this time?

To be continued . . .
