I'm a little late to this one, but I just wanted to say that I love that more people are reacting to this show now! My mom was a 1st grade teacher for 16 years (in South Florida, for context as to how much the particular state we live in values education and the educational system lmfao) and retired mid-2019 (she literally dodged a bullet retiring right before COVID struck) and this is one of her favorite shows haha. We watch it together all the time. Good times. Quinta Brunson is a national treasure. I watched her in BuzzFeed videos years ago, and I'm so glad to see her make it big time. Also, about Sheryl Lee Ralph, she's SUCH a good singer/vocalist! A lot of people don't know this, but she was actually the voice of Rita in Disney's Oliver and Company from 1988! She sang a song called Streets of Gold in that film, and it's so good. She also sang a song in the most recent season of Arcane that goes extremely hard.

I was an elem. teacher back in the day, and all I have to say is that the only time we weren't responsible for our kids was once a day, during their special area (music, art, pe.) We didn't get the time the teachers on this show have to go get lunch, gossip in the lounge, visit each other's classes. I used eat standing up and walking around the cafeteria, monitoring. I completely understand that the show would take forever if they actually were teaching in their own classrooms and not dialoguing .. haha. Otherwise, I really relate and appreciate the humor. Oh, and Janine's boyfriend is what is known as a Hobosexual. Don't ever let a man move in with you! He drives her car and eats her breakfast?? Give him back to his Momma. She ain't done teaching him how to care for himself without mooching on women.

We kept telling the kids it wasn’t scary but they both hated it and my 4yo was almost crying afterward. I felt so terrible 😭 they’ve both been on it before two years ago, and they were fine that time!
