2025-11-05 16:13:03 +0000 UTC(finally getting caught up) ugh i have such a weakness about plots involving fathers-- bawled when nomi's dad called her his daughter, and bawled again at the end with will's father. i didn't even care about either man! but the relatability of just wanting your dad there to stand up for you and be there for you always resonates with me hard. hit us with the anime back story indeed ;o;

Word to everyone in the world: Things tend not to go well for trans people when we are the center of attention! We usually have tips on how to help prevent this happening! 2025-10-19 00:43:03 +0000 UTCwill's dad's death breaks me. every single time. i am undone. kid will and adult will crying out for his father, dad come back, dad please, don't go. why'd we stop playing catch? go get your mitt we'll throw the ball around. and then i think about my dad, and when was the last time i played catch with him, and did we know it would never happen again, and now i am tearing up writing this. this show's emotional moments hit So Hard, they are So Well Done, both story wise and climatically. like the shift from child will in the chair, to adult will in the chair, to riley sitting there, to will alone in the flat is just such good visuals. because when our father dies we are all just the same little kid begging him to stay with us, to not go, to come back, please come back. on a happier note! dani's phone call is amazing, their little family means so much to me. how seriously she and hernando take lito's career, his dream. the way all three of them fit together and work to love each other and make good things happen amanita. my girl. my love. my queen. smartest woman in the world, how she thinks to call diego on facetime, and then that like awkward moment of, i'm a friend of will and riley's, are they there? which is a ridiculous thing to say to a random cop you've never met but then! riley is there! and not only does amanita get to Actually Meet another cluster member she's been hearing about, caring about, trying to save, but! riley's pure Relief and Awe at actually meeting amanita, the combination of her feeling nomi's love but also her own growing feelings for amanita. there are lots of pins set up in this season. some are knocked down. some are ignored. some are glossed over and made to look like they have a satisfying conclusion. and some are just cast aside. i wish we'd gotten longer to tie things off and see stories through, but we got what we got, and i do love it.\

2025-10-16 05:12:41 +0000 UTCThe more interconnected they become, and the more they are able to move as one/all work together at the same time, the better the episodes get. But of course there's not much left 🙄. And Will's dad's death, just like Riley having to be stuck on that mountain top, was extremely painful for her. They can all feel what each other feels. Hence the emotional overlaps, the intense orgies, the feeling of rain, the taste of coffee, tea, or hash, ect. Lito feeling period cramps, and Will feeling suffocated, for example. So during the fight, they probably all felt that punch the way that Wolfgang felt it. He has a high pain tolerance though, which is why he tends to step in for others when anyone is going through anything that is pretty painful. Like when Lito was getting punched during the fight, he was not only helping, but he was taking hits. He also stepped in for Sun when the people were trying to kill her, and they were brutalizing her. But once it went beyond a point, everyone started to filter through, because they all felt it. Sorry for the formatting, because I'm on my phone, but I am once again petitioning for The Magicians. No one reacts to it, for lame reasons that will become apparent pretty quickly (like they did in this show), and it is a phenomenal show.
