I understand your dislike for the rude kid. I feel like although he is terrible, he has his own truama, now that doesnt excuse his actions. But violence breeds violence and the beauty of this story is how OA is connecting all of them. Even him together in a deeper understanding.

what you said about Homer is so on point. Homer is the Samwise Gamgee of this story, and that is a high compliment. one of the highest.

The way Prairie raises her hands and turns around before HAP opens the door is a scene i loooove. Telling us without a flash back that at some point they tried to hurt him when he came in and now hes being careful. The writting is so good.

this fucking dude

Prairie has done the NDE thing many times by the time Hap asks her to leave with him; that’s why she knows exactly what to do for each step to prep herself for the equipment. He stopped gassing them after it ran out right before he killed Scott, so for three years they’ve all been going into every single death wide awake.

I love how you describe all that. Creativity is just awesome

36:40 was my desktop background for like two years haha... I fell in love with Homer and I NEVER do that. Just a complete dream man tbh

Look how distressed and dirty her dress is now... he doesn't even bring them new clothes

I'm telling you, you will LOVE her films Another Earth and Sound of My Voice (you'd probably like all of them, but I would start with those two, then move to The East, which is her most "Hollywood" film- bigger budget and well-known actors). Even if you don't watch them for the channel- check them out. They're also collabs with Zal Batmanglij is like The OA, and their topics are as interesting and mysterious.

I write songs just based on an idea that pops in my head, sometimes I will be playing guitar, or sometimes I will hear something that brings me to a place in my head. Sometimes someone else's song will inspire me in a small way or something, just a style or something. I used to do it more, sitting around mindlessly playing guitar while watching tv, and when I would hit on something i liked the sound of, I would go record it and try to write all the parts to go along with it, and maybe even create the whole song from the one little idea that i came up with. Doesn't happen really anymore, don't have the setup or the passion right now.

What you said about Homer is so on point. He never lets the light go out. This ep is shorter! The shortest in fact. All the eps are different lengths: they're each as long as they need to be.

The thing with the scene between Hap and Leon (his mentor) is that they were speaking so casually and calmly that it’s too easy to miss that they both test on humans and that they're both aware of the nature of each other's work. Leon avoided getting attached to his subjects by “enforcing turnover ” (not keeping them around too long)...“Potassium chloride and then into the incinerator.” (kill ‘em and burn ‘em) it’s so savage, but it’s spoken with such apathy.

The excitement brewing over the possibility of the 5th movement is beginning to build
