2025-09-14 18:49:58 +0000 UTCi. love. bug. i love this little weirdo so much. his face when they invite him to christmas?? his little "really? really you want Me to come with you?" and then nomi and amanita just being like "ofc we do! you're part of it now! come join in!". i have such a soft spot for socially awkward weirdos who aren't great with first impressions but who are Team Players and ready to get in the game if someone would just invite them to join. the family stuff in this show goes hard, with found family especially but also with bio family. the conversation between will and his dad? tears. sobbing. meeting lito's mom?? "come here my baby penguin"??? dead. on the floor dead from crying. the contrast between nomi, who is sure her parents would turn her in if she even went to her sister's wedding, and amanita, who has four parents who love her more than anything and welcome her fugitive girlfriend and their weirdo hacker friend in for chistmas dinner without a second thought. don't even get me started on dani. we don't know a lot about her family, but what we do know isn't good. and still she takes lito and hernando into her home, offers them safety and warmth and love and acceptance, and the three of them make a family. it's a choice, not by blood but by love. i love the scene where nomi sees the three of them on the couch, drinking and watching legally blonde and painting each other's nails. the soft and sad and happy smile on her face when she says "but they're in a safe place now". we haven't gotten much of this yet, but i always love the fondness each sensate has for another cluster member's family. cos they can feel what they feel! so in that moment, it's not just that nomi sees her friend is safe and happy. she can feel it. she can feel lito's love for hernando and dani, and she feels that love for them too. i could talk about this show for hours (i wrote a paper on it for my film studies class a lifetime ago) so i shall reign it in until next week, when inevitably i will return to wax poetical about it

It treats platonic love on the same level of respect as romantic love, along with so many other examples I could list. I feel like most media only focuses on one or maybe two forms of love, or it will give one form (usually traditional romantic) more significance than others. Sense8 says that all love is love is love and no matter the form it can be just as important in your life. I have been watching your videos for a while now, but I finally came over to your patreon because you started watching this show. You always seem to watch what I most want people to react to. Thank you so much for this. I've spent the last two days or so binging it all. I also wanted to tell you that you are the first patreon I have ever bought, and the only one I have ever even fully considered because of the amazing quality of your content. Keep doing what you're doing, I can't wait to see more!

2025-09-12 21:34:58 +0000 UTCThis is one of my favorite episodes in the show because of the joy sprinkled throughout for all of them. Riley, Kala, Sun, and Capheus all didn't really participate in the group sex scene in the first season. They either had bigger things to worry about or had little interest at the time. To be honest, I love the sex positivity, but I was disappointed that a show with so much representation forgot about those of us on the asexual spectrum (I'm demisexual). I thought we had some in the first season, but then they very quickly altered that. It's just so rare for media to include us. I still love the show, of course, and I have no problem with any character arcs as they are! But this is where I bring up Heartstopper as a great show following Sense8 with some representation, but also including characters that are either less sexual or ace.

Lol but it really was a heck of a way to get people excited for the second season, I was so hype after this came out when it first premiered. Lito and Hernando and Amanita and Nomi's relationships are goals.

2025-09-12 17:27:47 +0000 UTCI was raised in a very strict house, as I was raised in a christian cult (Handmaid's Tale shit). So it took me a while to figure out who I was as a person. I am bi, aro, and poly/non-monogamous. But when I first started dating at 18, I only dated men, and I already had a ton of trauma. The poly aspect is something that, while a part of me, I used as a defense mechanism with men. This show showed me that I could actually find fulfillment in it. I had had some fun, even one second partner that was lovely, but I was paralyzed in what I thought things had to be. This show was absolutely freeing for me. And I would also like to fight for The Magicians, as that was also on my list as I was fighting for this show, lol. So I'm gonna hope I can bring that show to life. I think you would really enjoy it. No one reacts to that one either. (Sorry for the formatting, I'm on mobile).

I don’t know if this counts as a spoiler but the last episode is even longer, it came out after the season ended as a finale film. You might want to do it seperately as well, i just wanted to let you know sorry if it counts as a spoiler. Also, I’m really glad you’re watching this show. it’s one of my favorites.
