Fiiinally got around to watching this. Such a conflicting thing so see freedom but also realising there is no freedom to your actions because of the consequences others would suffer if you took it. I agree, seeing the skeptical member realise whats happening is rewarding, but also considering Hap now knows about it leaves you wondering how it'll end up working for them if he's now invested in observing the results. I remember feeling this dread the first time around.

Going full interpretive dance was a thrill for some, cringe for others. The confirmation that the series was going farther into the impossible fantastical was a thrill for some, cringe for others.

2025-09-11 14:34:42 +0000 UTCWhen you said "I love you Prairie" I was thinking how much I love her too and the feeling welled up and I cried a bit. It was cathartic. I'm so happy you're really feeling this series! The Jesus imagery around Scott's death and resurrection is so strong. His body position, his sores, his hair like a crown of thorns. And he died for Prairie's sins. I never think of myself as religious or Catholic (though I was baptised Catholic as a baby and occasionally went to church with my grandmother as a child) but imagery like that still hits hard. It's always interesting to realize I'm to some extent a product of that part of my background despite rejecting much of it consciously.

HAP just found out The OA can see around the same time he finally ‘sees’ the true nature of his experiment. I believe it introduces this type of mystical connection between HAP and the OA.

As someone, who has rewatched the show probably at least 15 times, Scott's resurrection scene with "Downtown" playing (the perfect song choice), puts tears in my eyes and chills on my arms EVERY SINGLE TIME. I remember watching for the first time and enjoying the show up until this scene but this scene was my holy shit and im all in moment. Cant wait for the next reaction!
