Finally getting back to this after a long awaited overseas trip, and THANK YOU for the GOT sidebar. Yes to the Joffrey take. Yes yes and YES to the cersei take as well. Rocks? Rocks???? Yes. Correct. 😆

Ledgedancer

For real. This writing can be sadistic sometimes

Franklin

God it sucks so bad when Andrea finally makes it to the prison just to be captured.

One thing we would never run out in an apocalypse? CLOTHES! People in this country have so many clothes! Find one rich hoarder house and find a plethora of new clothing to last a lifetime! This group's comments are gold. Such mutual respect that opinions are not right or wrong by definition. First reactions I ever saw was young people listening to my old rock music and hearing what it brought up from their POV. I was hooked Young city kids hearing Bohemian Rhapsody and equating it with gang violence. In the eyes and ears of the beholder. ❤️ This Glenn & Maggie scene reminds me of why I was so crazy about this couple in the beginning. That young crazy can't get enough of each other early love. Our local Tyson chicken & turkey plants are holding their breath hoping ICE doesn't show up. That is hard ass work and American's won't do it. Period. If they lose the immigrants more prices go up. I think Rick has to consider this. He has to look over the whole group and do you sacrifice one to save the rest? Impossible choice to make when you have a child and an infant. I'm not sure what choice I would make in his shoes. ✌️💖

Hundred percent

I guess it's a success of casting that we despise the governor so passionately. Gotta give it to the actor. He plays it for all its filth.

Melissa

You know I've critiqued Andrea, but NO ONE deserves that. NO ONE.

Melissa

I believe they are.

First Name Ella

I've always read Tyreese and Sasha as siblings. Am I wrong?

Melissa

I feel you kim. I don't blame you for wanting to piss out from here, honestly, it is very scary. Although we still have a lot to learn and still receive from your generation. You all dealt with so much and survived to tell Such sad irony indeed

Franklin

GoT mentioned 👀…. That means I have to come to the comments and greatly advocate for everyone to read the book series. Best choice u will make. Specifically knowing how u digest media frank I just feel like u will love it.

Epi. 14. This is one episode that left me emotionally drained. Yes, indeed, Frank leadership is everything. Your coments are on point. As for myself - I've lived a long time by anyone's definition and what I've witnessed in those years is what makes me grateful, in a twisted way, that my time on this planet is now short. I've witnessed in my lifetime just how much people change under different leadership, whether it be in a job, in a school, in a country. It is disheartening and scary. I cannot imagine being 10, 20, or even 30 years old at this point and continue to have to deal with the shit-storm this country and the world has become. I genuinely feel bad and always pray for anyone younger than myself to have the strength to endure this world and what it has become. It appears that human nature does not evolve much at all. You always think that with advancements, in time, the world would become better. Even the lessons from the past, from history seem short lived in human memory. As much as I love being alive, enjoying what little I have and what I still do in this life....I'm ready at anytime to fly off this planet when my maker calls me. So cynical to some, I know.  Such irony....Andrea's butt deep in a mess because she had ignored Michonne's warnings. Now it's Andrea's turn to be ignored. Even Hershel told her that the Governor is a sick man. Despite trying to finally flee Woodbury...she now finds herself bound and gagged in The Governor's interrogation room. Some people never learn or take good advice when it is first given. So very sad.

fucking sad

Franklin

hehe

Franklin

That is my hope as well. Her Redemption arc, I think she will feel so much better on the other side

Franklin

It's all good. I never saw it

Franklin

It's so chilling and frustrating. Every day people are being radicalized to hate immigrants. Shout out to the USA smh I love how you put it. Humanizing the other side to whatever is coming so much tougher. Which is the point. I love Milton Can't wait to see how her arc concludes. I have great hopes Congrats on the gig. That sounds exciting. I hope you enjoy it and have a lot of fun. I've only heard of Cabaret through watching schitts Creek. It was mentioned a couple of times. I'll look it up thanks

Franklin

yeah as frustrating as some of her story lines and actions can be, she's a victim. That doesn't absolve her of all wild and crazy actions she has done and overlooked. And no nobody deserves shit like that, What the governor is about to do Happy you're here for it Iris

Franklin

I like this

Franklin

Yeah the moment I saw what he was planning for Michonne OMG. Yeah he should be shot on site About Rick's conversation with Herschel, yeahhh I'm glad he just poured out everything that was on his mind, including acknowledging that he knows the government fucking lying through his teeth. If all he said was he was thinking about offering up my Michonne.. Heavy side eye👀 You're right. We know it, but I don't think she does

Franklin

Epi 13. The Govenor is just plain evil and has become increasingly unhinged. The sadistic choice he gives to Rick to avoid a war is to hand over Michonne or watch everyone he's come to care for die a hellish, bloody death. You know Michonne, if given over to the Govenor, will live in a dark closet, be raped and tortured, starved to almost death at times...because that is who the Governer is.  What was also chilling to me was when Rick talks with Hershel and asks if he should give up Michonne. When Hershel asks why Rick is bringing this to him, Rick says that he wants to be talked out of it.....whoa!  I love how Hershel tells Andrea she belongs with them back in the prison, she is family. And yet, once again, stupid, stupid Andrea chooses to remain with the Woodbury group. Frank, you mention what is the Governor offering Andrea....beyond sex, I see nothing! He already told her once if she goes back to the prison that she can stay there. She is nothing to him, but a pawn and useful in bed. The Governor is too closed off to anything more with Andrea after losing his wife and daughter. He's now a user of human flesh in so many ways.  Will catch up to Epi 14 a bit later.

I couldn’t emotionally commit to this one last night, so I’m watching it this morning after sleep 😂 I’m just halfway through, I sort of feel like Merle suddenly gained respect for Rick. He’s already heard from multiple people that Rick came back for him on the roof. He sees how he’s kept the group together and how his brother respects him. I think Merle respects Daryl in his own way but still wants to ride roughshod over him as the older brother, he still respects himself more. But he respects Daryl enough to think about what he says and he cares about him. Then Rick says he sat down with the governor for a long while, Merle is sort of disparaging. “We should have gone”, because he thinks Rick is about to say “we came to an agreement”, or something similar, and Merle knows that’s bullshit. Then Rick lays it out and says “we’re going to war” and Merle is in. Damn I’m excited to watch the rest of this.

I really think Andrea just realized she tried everything she could and decided there was no point on sticking around when she saw how blatantly the Governor lied to her about his intentions and the things he was gonna do to Michonne. But to be fair, it didnt really look like she was too surprised either when Milton showed her the workshop... i think that second episode might be one of the more tense eps the show has managed to pull off. every time i keep hoping Andrea will get away and every time I get heartbroken when she doesnt. SHE WAS SO CLOSE!! I also think Rick didnt really do anything about what he thought he saw because of the hallucinations thing. he probabaly pushed the thought away the way he's been pushing away the hallucinations. By the way, I'm so glad you're holding so much space to talk about Andrea's character, I think most people just put her on a box and say "she deserves what she gets" when really there's so much to discuss, a real case study. They dont realize she's a victim too, just like the group at the prison. Feels like some people just dont have it in them to feel or show empathy for others. it's a real shame. Oh, and I'll never get tired of telling you how happy i am I found your channel. Just by the conversations you encourage us to engage in, your insights... I dont think I've ever been so excited to participate in online conversations as I am in this community you've built. This really is special. you're a great person. Take care!

Iris

Your discussion about how under certain leadership, things that would normally be considered cruel or wrong can be normalized really got me in my head about the U.S. That's exactly what's happening under the current administration, because of how he behaves and what he encourages, people who were just normal people trying to survive have become extremists who cheer on the suffering of others. Really painful to witness in real time, good job clocking that take on how people change under different leadership. This episode made me like Martinez; suddenly, he was just a guy who lost his family. I also just really love the actor and hate that he isn't in a lot of media. The stakes that these conversations between the groups added really cranked up the tension. Now that the "enemies" were human beings with personalities and histories, it's harder for us to imagine something happening to them and being okay with that. Milton's doubts about the Governor being sewn slowly over the course of the season was just *chef's kiss*. He's just an awkward guy who values the people who give him the time of day, so when Hershel gave him the time of day, with no expectation of receiving anything in return, Milton must have started to sympathize with them, truly. He doesn't like death, violence, or argument. I feel like he finally started to recognize that the Governor is all of those things he dislikes wrapped into one, but it seems like he still can't completely hate him because of who he used to be, and that's understandable. I don't believe Andrea ever did anything objectively wrong. She tried her best to be useful and find meaning, and she never intended to hurt anyone. She was lost and then misguided, but she deserves redemption. Her final straw is valid no matter how many straws it took her to get there. It's always so difficult for me to keep my mouth shut about stuff that could spoil you, so some of what I say is what I remember my intial reaction to the show being, but that was when I was a teenager, it's really interesting to see how much my thoughts have changed since my first watch as the show was airing. Also, life update for me! I'm opening my first ever paid gig as an actor this weekend. We're doing Cabaret and it is sadly so topical and relevant to what's happening right now, especially the ICE situation. I definitely noticed you like Hamilton and have to ask that if you ever get the chance (on the channel or in your own time) to watch Cabaret if you haven't already, you and probably most of my fellow patrons would absolutely appreciate it. I recommend watching the 1993 Broadway revival with Alan Cumming (on Youtube) or going to see it in person if you are lucky enough to have a live show near you. It's one of my absolute favorite musicals!

OMG I commented thinking this was a different episode and deleted as soon as I realized, I am so sorry Frank! I can't count!

First Name Ella

I always saw Andrea as a very strong woman who was severely damaged in my humble opinion with afflicted with severe daddy issues. I’m so sorry to see her where she’s at right now. The hardest thing any human can do is look inward and ask all of the most frightening questions to the demons they may not even know they have, yet must journey inward to find and eradicate while not losing their mind in the process. The courage it takes to find that inner child that you hid away so deeply to protect while breaking down the self preservation walls you built that only you can deconstruct in order to save yourself while picking up new tools in the process of self discovery, self forgiveness, and the strength to come out the other side to the beginning of a new journey created for self healing, reunification of your inner child with the adult child that knows, one day at a time, one breath at a time you will have become your true self and go forth in this world in a new higher vibration that will attract other higher vibrational spirits, that together will create bonds based on mutual healing and love. My heart breaks for Andrea. My hope will be her redemption arc finds her in a place of peace and acceptance of herself.

I’ll have to finish this tomorrow.. It’s 2 am in Atlanta and the dog Wrigley is giving me the hairy eyeball: “Turn off the TV so we can sleep.”!

God, Frank. What you said about leadership and the behavior of ordinary people under the wrong leader, just gave me chills. America in 2025 is demonstrating how easy it is for an evil man to turn his followers into conscienceless thugs.

Susan B

Herschel is everybody’s Walking Dead dad.

Frank, I do read the comments to your reactions because you’ve gathered an interesting community here.
