MOVIE RECOMMENDATION: "Are You There God, It's Me Margaret"

Melissa

Even reading this comment had my heart rate very high

Franklin

Climbing up a huge crane in the middle of the night, while drunk. Only did it because my idiot roommate climbed up, and he was a city boy, so he never even climbed trees... and he was way more drunk (and also on substances). I said never again. Unfortunately, he ran from the house to go do it again, this time while it was raining. It was like dealing with a cat that gets stuck in trees, but not cute. Just had to keep running after him and guiding him down, until I felt he could do it on his own

Jade

MOVIE RECOMMENDATION: "Tuesdays with Morrie". If anyone else likes this rec, please boost it with likes or comments! :) :)

Melissa

Does your scalp sweat when you eat something spicy? Mine does, and I've been unable to find another person with that

Franklin

omg that'd probably be me. The smell of weed makes me wanna throw up

Franklin

i had to look it up! gaddmnn

Franklin

Hopefully. It's scored really high on the last poll

Franklin

outside????????? why?????

Franklin

damn. Trust your gut

Franklin

😂😂😂😂

Franklin

hell noooo

Franklin

The fact that you took that on is wild. I just saw some pictures online

Franklin

bruhhhhhhhhhh🫨

Franklin

nopeeeeeeeeeeeee

Franklin

I just looked it up. What the hell compelled you to take that route?🫨

Franklin

Traveling the Yungas Road (aka Road of Death) in Bolivia- Considered one of the most dangerous roads in the world- In a scrappy old pickup truck. NEVER. AGAIN.

Philly Therapist

Any roller coaster. Just no, fuck no, no thank you. I tried a land one once, and a water log ride once, and nope, nope, nope on a rope.

Eboe Thrasher

😂 could have been worse I guess.

Valaree

Took mystery pills given to us in the 1980s by a man named Dude. Woke up next morning to find my boyfriend’s carpenters level in the dishwasher, and Campbell’s soup in the coffee maker.

Riding on the back of a motorcycle! And this was a time in my life when I loved wild thrill rides, going to all-night raves, climbing up on roofs and going exploring where I wasn’t supposed to, taking questionable substances and spending the night out in the desert with friends, all kind of crazy goofball things like that. But as soon as the dude who had wanted to take me on the ride stopped the bike after speeding and careening around the streets, taking corners too fast and dodging cars (and I even burned my leg on some hot part of the bike, making me realize later he didn’t even help make sure I was riding properly!), I jumped off from behind him, smacked him on the arm and literally shouted “NEVER. AGAIN.” 😂 So that definitely came to mind!

There is a ride called The Golden Tower in Tivoli here in Denmark, that is so tall (it’s 63 meters/206 feet). It’s more or less a “free fall ride” and when you are at the top of it, you sit there for a little while looking out at the city like in a ferries wheel and you don’t really know when you “drop”. That was when I truly knew I was afraid of heights, it felt so awful. My brain told me the tower was about to fall forward, it was so ughh. Never again 😖

Sofia W

A never again for me—any high thrill rollercoaster that only uses a lap bar/handle. Why did we move away from the over the shoulder harness??? I went on a rollercoaster in Hershey Park, PA called Candymonium and it had a little lap handle. I was like “oh ok this is a chill ride” SIKEEEEE it went up so far and dipped at basically a 90° angle I was coming out of my seat. Clenched my legs against that seat so hard I was sore for a week. The next time I was in line for a rollercoaster, I was mid way through the line, saw what the seats looked like and walked right out. Never again.

Julia Timlin

I believe he only watches things a day or two before they are scheduled. Best to save it for a comment on the show/movie itself!

Rhiannon

Rented a scooter for the first time, while high as the international space station. Didnt leave the rental guy’s parking lot.

Susan B

Just want to double check that if the movie is on the schedule you have officially watched it? Don’t want to throw around a quote thinking I’m funny and spoil something!!

Cat Charbonneau

I’m not a seafood person (I live in the Pacific Northwest so it’s sad) but have always wanted to give oysters a go but I think l you’re on to something!

Cat Charbonneau

Tried reconnecting with an important family member after 2 years of no contact. Never Again! Trust what doesn’t feel safe!

Cat Charbonneau

Many, many years ago....being convinced by others how good eating raw oysters on the half-shell. Nearly barfed my head off! Still remember it, so damn disgusting. Never, ever again!!

KimM

Weekly question: It was a roller coaster for me. Not even a big one either. I discovered my fear of heights that day, and it was confirmed that it wasn’t just an adolescent reaction when I took the elevator up to the top of the Space Needle in 2016. For reference, that horrid thing is on the *outside* of the structure.

Ellen Noir

I'm getting both my inner biceps done next, so good to know. My most painful so far was on the back of the head where the skull meets the spine.

X Jae ⚧️

The older I get, the harder it is to survive intense trips like that. When ur a kid in high school shit is fun and new and u can get away with it, but last time i tried some mushys as an adult I was lowkey freaking out, i have way too much responsibility now so it just sends me into a downward spiral. But yes definitely be careful my ex’s brother had this happen bc he is bipolar and taking acid just made something snap in his brain to where all that stuff came out.

Matthew Arner

😲😲😲

Melissa

To be fair, I don't remember exactly what I did, but a long time ago I went bar hopping with friends down on the landing in St Louis and woke up with a credit card receipt with a $460 tip to our waitress. Must have been some exceptional service!

Pam C

Yess I discover Succession with you and I LOVE IT ! Maybe Peaky Blinders soon ?

Romane✨

Mixing LSD with weed. I had an hour or two of psychosis where it seemed like time slowed to a crawl and I became terrified I'd be stuck in that one hour or even minute for decades. It was like being stuck in a horrifying sci-fi movie. Crazy shit but it seemed very, very real to me at the time. Also kept getting stuck in something I can only call "thought traps" and I can't even describe what that was, but apparently it's not super uncommon in bad trips. I'm a very curious person and it was without a doubt one of the most interesting experiences of my life, but both how terrifying it was and a tendency for mental illness in my family kept me away from trying it again. I didn't know it at the time but there's apparently some good research showing regular weed use and psychedelics can trigger things like schizophrenia in those predisposed to it. Edit: I also have a bit of a phobia to all kinds of roller coasters. Haven't been on one since I was a kid and don't plan to, lol.

Shane

Never say never, so this was hard for me, but I once tried chitlins. The smell alone will put me off ever eating them again.

Tamara

Smoking. I always said that I will never smoke, but one time my friend was smoking weed beside me and I just wanted to know what was the effect. I didn't understand at all how to smoke and I puke almost instantly. I know I will never try again.

Marianne

Hm. I’d say I’ll never get a tattoo even remotely near my inner bicep ever again. I got a pretty high pain tolerance, but that was a one and done… if I can help it 😂

Sarah Rose

I love spice and hot sauce in particular, and I can handle very intense stuff, but I'll neeeever again partake of one of those hot sauces that markets itself entirely as a challenge. I have nothing to prove, and cuisine is all about pleasure for me. (Quadruple Taurus in the house!)

Atom

I’ve always joked that I’ll try anything twice, just in case the first time was a fluke. Really most things that I’m willing to give a shot initially I will probably try again because there’s something appealing about them that I’m trying to understand. Penicillin maybe? I’ve been told I had an allergic reaction as a kid and I’m not eager to find out if that’s still true.

Valaree

Valid! Love that movie, though.

Valaree

Watched Hereditary. Was forced to actually watch it a second time. Legit will never watch it again.
