Yeah, Yrsa telling Riley to kill herself is definitely defeatist. But I can also imagine that Whispers has been hunting for a long time, and has been killing off/zombifying cluster after cluster, and seeing your people be hunted with such effectiveness...I can understand the desire to minimize losses, and prioritizing that over another approach. Like, I have many friends I'd give my life for. If I was put in a position where my existence could put them at risk, I'd definitely consider it at the very least. Now, could there be other ways of resolving the situation? Sure. Would they be harder and riskier? Of course. So I get her telling Riley to do that. I don't sense any malice in her intentions, she's just beaten down and defeated, to where she only sees one way out. It is just a sad situation all around.

Then I had kids and I couldn't even watch that part of the episode until my youngest was 2 because it felt completely different, plus my youngest is medically complex, so we've had to do a lot to keep them around... It's rough watching that scene

He's legit." Wolfgang on screen? "Oh yeah, Kala needs a bad boy who can't stop thinking about her and knows what she needs and wants even if she doesn't admit it." It's quite the triangle lol

It feels more grounded in reality to me that he didnt change because his life was threatened. It also continues the narrative their our main characters are pretty morally grey. Like the story isnt good v bad but rather us v the world.

2025-09-06 01:39:29 +0000 UTCi think luna survived past the car, simply bc i don't think riley would have fought so hard to get them out of there if she didn't have her child to fight for. i believe she died from exposure sometime while riley was walking to find help. if her daughter was dead in the car, i honestly think riley would have just curled up there and waited to join her and magnus.

2025-09-06 00:54:14 +0000 UTCbug is my favorite side character. i didn't wanna say anything the first time we saw him cos why would that weirdo be my favorite?? but his second appearance you get to see how much he does actually care about nomi. he's awkward and weird but he's kind. he's generous. he didn't have to give nomi the tech, he could have stolen it and sold it again to the highest bidder. but he doesn't. he makes sure that the kid who saved his life has the ammo she needs to fight whatever assholes she's up against. he comes back in the second season, and when we get there i will Wax Poetic about it, but until then, he's just my favorite for reasons. dani, hernando, amanita, jela, and felix all tie for second. well. amanita gets second, the others all tie for third.

But I think that her tolerance had built up and she did want to do it anymore. So, it is also kind of a look at a possible future for Will. The woman who got charmed by Lito didn't actually see Lito. She saw Will, his face and voice but Lito's charm. Think possession, kind of similar to that.

2025-09-05 16:28:57 +0000 UTCI just realised that for english speaking people who do not know German, Wolfgang might sound like "a gang of wolves" while Gang in German means something like: stride, walk and so on. So it historically meant something like the path of the wolf. It's not exactly a popular name anymore among younger people and I know that plenty of German viewers complained about it as being cliche, but I don't feel that way and can see it fit within his story/family dynamics.

When Riley went to the cemetery, there were two names, her husband and her daughter. I didn't notice the first time either. I like the Capheus actor too, I was sad for not having it more. And I'm going to kept my thoughts for future episodes haha

As you said, now that the sensates all work together after a whole season of delayed gratification, the stuff they can do together in s2 is that much cooler
