Added 2023-11-14 15:52:06 +0000 UTCGenerally, you can get a long way with the poles you have access to in a studio, but if you want to progress faster, it can be useful to have a home pole. Here is a breakdown of some of the types that I've come across.

Not usually, as the idea of these is that they can be easily taken down and put back up as needed. Most people use a magnetic spirit level to check that it's set up- if you get it mostly straight and don't fully tighten it, you can still make minor adjustments easily, and then you tighten and lock it once you're happy!
