We actually see Antonio in the background during the episode when David is talking to Patrick about Ken. He's checking things out and is very sneaky. I didn't catch it until my 2nd or 3rd rewatch.

As someone who was very late realising they were queer (30), Patrick's whole story resonated so much with me in this show. And luckily my telling my parents went pretty much like his did. They were both very cool with it but there is always that real anxiety and fear beforehand. And I loved how they put it in the show - like it's not even a fear of rejection or something horrible happening, but just a feeling of "I don't want them to see me differently or think I'm somehow any different".

I’ve rewatched this show so many times, but watching on this channel was the first time I noticed Antonio in the background of David and Patrick’s store 😂 This show still makes me cry happy tears at so many scenes, and I think it will every time I watch it!

Well, Wendy sure is clueless regarding Antonio and Brad sharing a tiny one bedroom apartment when she says, "It is so crowded, they have to put their mirror on the ceiling" LMAO! Better take David's advice and shut that down!!! 🤣😂🤣

This sequence of episodes are some of my favorites 😩 I love the Hike, Alexis realizing how much she loves her family, Stevie’s care for Johnny🥹 love this show! Excited for the finale

I was really grateful SC showed this kind of coming out narrative, where one's fear isn't based so much on the idea of a hateful reaction, but rather a ~fine~ one that still involves losing some parts of what you had. Mine was somewhere in between. I knew my parents loved me way, way, way too much than to ever try to bring harm to me (such as by kicking me out or cutting me off), but I also knew they'd been saying derogatory things about queer and trans people my whole life precisely because they could tell something was up with me and wanted to steer me in the "right" direction. They screamed and cried and said some awful things. My dad didn't talk to me for a year. My mother told me he was crushed by the shame of thinking back on all the things he'd said. When I came out again (as trans) many years later, they did relatively well lol. I could tell they were trying to demonstrate that they were grateful for a second go, to show how they'd grown. It's usually a ton messier than what they show for Patrick here, but scenarios like his do exist, and it's a great model for parents like mine (who love Schitt's Creek too, btw).

Alexis' opening URGH and faces perfectly match post-work mood! Our queen

My older brother came out to my parents in the early 90s when he was around 14 years old. He took a magazine about gay life out at the library and then put it for my mother to return, with a note coming out. With the time and our family background, my dad didn’t believe at first. He said it was a phase. But my brother didn’t outgrow it and a couple years later we all understood and it wasn’t an issue. My dad later told me that it scared him because he didn’t want my brother’s life to be that hard. But it’s a different time now and hopefully kids today feel a little less anxiety about it.

Oh, I can't believe we're soon entering the final season. I'm sure others have mentioned it, but there's a small special with the cast that you should definitely watch afterward. :)

Soooo, Ep. 10 We’ve actually met Antonio before ( who’s living with Wendy’s fiancé in a ONE-BEDroom apartment with a mirror on the ceiling 😂😂). He was snooping around Rose Apothecary in the background of the episode with Ken, the one who gave Patrick his phone number. Ep. 11 Patrick’s coming out was handled so beautifully, even though it technically happened because of Johnny’s slip-up. David’s care and support were incredible and his selflessness in this episode left me amazed. It couldn’t have been easy for him to set aside his own hurt about being kept a secret, but he did it anyway, simply to be there for Patrick. Ep. 12 In this episode, we saw a less flattering side of Ted. His whole approach to the Galápagos Islands felt a bit manipulative.. he really should have been upfront with Alexis from the start. On the other hand, Alexis’s personal growth over these past seasons has been enormous, and it really shone through here. Ep. 13 The proposal! 😍 It was everything! You’re absolutely right,  Patrick knows David, and they are so perfect for each other!  Truly one of my all-time favorite TV couples ever.

A tamagotchi was a “virtual pet” from the late 90s, lol. It was a little egg shaped keychain with a black and white screen that had a pixelated creature on it, it would hatch from an egg and then grow into different forms depending on how you treat it. You have to feed it, clean it, play with it, and discipline/reward it. It beeps loudly every time it needs something, which is often. They were all the rage when I was around 10 years old 😂
