Her saying 'So we can make a new one' gave me a similar feeling to Miles saying 'Nah, ima do my own thing'. Shit just HITS. Also I truly don't know how I have never listened to KPOP before. I have listened to French songs on repeat. I have listened to Italian songs on repeat. I have listened to a Chinese song on repeat. I have listened to anime intros and outros on repeat. BUT KPOP NOT ONCE??? That is insanity. I have been MISSING OUT. I have already watched this movie 4 times. I'm going to listen to the soundtrack until it is a nostalgia trip and then I am going to submerge my brain in KPOP. 🫡

2025-09-23 02:42:29 +0000 UTCThis might be an obvious take, but it seems like the demons are a direct metaphor for the hurt, trauma and/or shame we hide from others in an effort to keep ourselves “safe”. Sometimes that shame is something we actually did, like hurting someone we love and sometimes it’s something we have zero control over like our sexuality or race or even something that happened to us that we were told was our fault but isn’t at all. And I would say all of us have those well-meaning, albeit wrong, people in our lives that not only encourage, but insist we hide those things from the world whether it feels right to us or not. They want to keep us safe but in doing so they make not only the world, but our own bodies and minds unsafe for us too. Those people’s voices slowly become our own and before we know it we’re so thoroughly hidden from the world that even recognizing ourselves becomes damn near impossible. Anytime we dare to think maybe there’s another way to be, that voice that sounds an awful lot like our own tells us to stop. All the fear instilled about what people may think takes over. We wonder if they might abandon or physically hurt us because of what they’ve learned, so we stay hidden and afraid. The thing that usually changes this is someone(s) seeing us, seeing ALL of us and still loving and helping us to see it too. That is probably the single most soul healing experience we can ever provide for another person. That’s just my take🤷🏻♀️💜 You’re right, it’s highly unlikely that I would’ve watched this on my own but now I’m kind of obsessed and have watched it 3xs😂😂 So beautifully made and executed. 10/10 will be recommending to anyone who will listen lol

It’s time for grandma to die in to all of your anime collection. Enjoy each one and have a new and surprising Addition to my grandchildren’s interests and be able to have the door open for their thoughts on how and what it is about anime and the storylines that they find so intriguing. I can’t wait for that opportunity to enjoy hearing them and the excitement that I can hopefully bring to their spirits that their grandmother took the timeto watch anime shows to bridge the generational gap.

I remember when AOT S4 Part 1 was coming out, his character had so much impact on me that I kept dreaming about him at night. He had me stressed OUT lmao. But yeah, I agree, I love flawed characters, they're so beautiful to watch.
