“You know people can see you right” and that’s why it is his olive branch. Because David cares about his image and perception more than ANYTHING in the world. Him choosing to do an action or performance that causes him to be perceived in any kind of embarrassing light is so painful for him, and he only truly does this when he loves someone. We’ve only ever seen him do this for his mother in the show, when he helped her in the Asbestos Fest. David willing to be seen and embarrassed to show Patrick how much he cares for him is the most vulnerable action David could have ever done.

i like this

Franklin

damn😂 that sounds like a fucking vibe

When I was in college I lived with 5 other girls. We would often set up the hookah, crack open some cold ones, and cast one of our phones to the TV and group scroll through tinder. It was like our football. It was so much fun.

Patrick's interpretation: stripped-back, acoustic, beautifully simple--a representation of him and his stabilizing force in David's life David's lipsynch of the original: theatrical, showy, full-on Diva--(as Tina was!) and representative of the playful, eccentric energy David brought into Patrick's life... And, of course...the lyrics...

“OH SHIT OH SHIT” my favorite thing I’ve ever seen on this channel 😂😂😂😂🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

Loved the grill convo between Johnny and Roland, that is literally the same grill my dad used for my entire childhood. He wasn’t a great griller (and still isn’t lmao) so I only occasionally experienced good grilling, until I did it myself on a gas grill 😂 I’d love to have this little charcoal grill, though, to perfect my craft. Grilling over charcoal does require skill and patience but it tastes so much better when it’s good 😋

Damn, the more I watch this show again, the more I realize how much I missed little things and how much this show simply brings me joy and laughter. I am enjoying your comments and reactions immensely, Frank. I simply want a Schitt's Creek Reunion with this cast....perhaps a limited series of where they are today. There are so many stories that come to mind that could be told to their fan base. Would love to see Johnny and Moira as grandparents....can you just imagine David and/or Alexis as parents....so much fun! Catch up with Twyla, Stevie, Jocelyn, Roland, Ronnie, Patrick, Ted, Bob and more. 😃

Thank you

Franklin

finally haha. It's so good and believable

I saw this too and I’m so so excited!! I think it’s very likely considering all of the “evidence” fans have pointed out.

Lisa

Ahh I have been waiting for you to point out the similarities in David and Alexis’ mannerisms that make them look like they could actually be real siblings! It’s one of my favorite acting choices that I’ve seen by two costars and I’m so happy you noticed!

Lisa

Im so glad you told that titillating story....I also didn't know it was sexual 😅

Marcia

Simply the best by Tina Turner🔥If you haven't seen the biopic "what's love got to do with it" starring the amazing Angela Basset, I highly recommend it.

SeeJay

I just love the vulnerability between both David and Patrick. Who knew after their first meeting that this would blossom and more!

Nicole

I remember crying at the Olive Branch just cause it was so sweet 😂😅

captain_mitchy

I think I read that Dan Levy expected the lip synch to be more on the humorous side but the crew was very touched emotionally by it since it was such a huge leap for David’s character to put himself out there like that, especially where people could see him. For all the reassuring Patrick has done to make David comfortable, it was nice to see David out on a limb for Patrick. I love that end scene.

@FrankFreezy Tina Turner, American icon singer from the late 50s until her passing an amazing woman with a life story that is very worth seeing in her biopic movie. This link takes you to her concert where at the age of 64 she was performing it! https://youtu.be/GC5E8ie2pdM?si=jng2lAanbcDxpTOI

Laura Thate

Finally Patrick’s vulnerability, talking about hard things.

Jodycnd

Oh man, your reaction to Rachel showing up at the bbq was SO GOOD. I'm always so happy when stuff doesn't get spoiled for you and you get to be truly surprised.

Rhiannon

That was the perfect olive branch from David. Going a million miles outside his comfort zone sent a beautiful message about how much Patrick means to him.

Ellen Noir

OHHHHH! For anyone that didn't see it who is an IWTV fan, I read that it is RUMORED that Noah Reid (Patrick) has been cast in Season 3 of the show!! I think he's part of the band. I'm praying it's true. 🔥

Melissa

David & Patrick are SIMPLY THE BEST! I remember seeing a Dan Levy interview where he talked about having a drink or two before that performance to loosen his inhibitions. I love it so much. Here's the interview: https://youtu.be/ddySNZh3xAE?si=lsqXYcxtF5wk6wMh. I PROMISE THERE ARE NO SPOILERS. He discusses his connection to the song, the first performance of it, and his performance of it. It's lovely.

1:00 When Alexis was talking to Twyla (or David?) she mentioned that 3 of the profiles were Ray. LOL
