So Villanelle isnt flat chested but if you rewatch the scene of her coming back to her apartment in Paris, she takes off what looks like a bra. It's actually a binder, it's what people to use to make their chest look smaller or hide them. But of course she used it as a disguise, just like her brown wig. So it was her who killed that first man. Also, Eve was cutting herself to try and recreate how Villanelle did the first assassination as he died from a small cut on his leg. Eve is just so fascinated she wanted to try do it too. Also, MI5 is like the FBI so you're not necessarily a spy/agent. You could just be secretary or set up meeting and safety like Eve. In that scene where Eve buys milks with Caroline, she's basically telling her she's being promoted to secret agent/spy.

I think the end is realistic which is why some didn’t vibe season 4. It's worth the commitment though-- the humor and acting is strong throughout.

Just like Frank, I remember noting Villanelle’s figure in that pretty stolen dress in Tuscany and thinking the same thing, that it couldn’t be her! And also trying to sort out what the “plank” description meant because of it. It wasn’t until a second watch that I noticed the binder, which I wonder if they keep it kind of subtle on purpose. Lol because I feel like this show loves to take you on as many rides as it possibly can! 😂

Eve did some questionable investigating and put Dom in danger (so glad he went to the vending machine) but as you said that had nothing to do with Villanelle being sent to clean up. Frank was just being a dick swab and scapegoating her. Eve wasn't a secret agent at first. She worked for MI5 (and Niko was fully aware of that) which is national security in the UK and seems to be more bureaucratic and boring whereas MI6 is secret intelligence operating globally, espionage and intrigue, James Bond and all that. Frank is MI5 and Carolyn is MI6 and I think they're at least somewhat meant to personify the two agencies. Really enjoying your speculation into Eve's character and motivations!

Feels like a personal gift to me for becoming a patron so I'm going to pretend it is lollll thankyouthankyou <3 Killing Eve ep1 has some of the best character intros I've ever seen, possibly THE BEST I've ever seen in Villanelle's intro. We learn SO MUCH about her in such a short time and with no dialogue! Such beautiful work. I adore the first scene between her and her handler Konstantin where she plays dead as well, again tells us so much about their relationship with so little. A note about the small breasted assassin-- when Villanelle returns to her flat in Paris (wearing those fabulous striped pants) we see her take off a heavy duty binder with a sigh of relief. THANK YOU FOR NOTICING HER FASHION RIGHT AWAY! "Trouble's not interested in me." OH EVE IT IS NOW

She gets recruited in episode 2 by Carolyn, who is part of MI6, which is the spy department. They do covert ops in other countries, James Bond type stuff.
