Sending some love your way this week! We have a couple of shows ending pretty soon, so several spots (3) are opening. I chose to take one of those spots for "I May Destroy You" - quick 12 episodes. I'll put out a poll this week which will include several of the runner-ups from previous polls. I couldn't choose one of the runner-ups, so just for fairness, I'm putting them on a poll again. Choosing the next show is never easy so this is what I came up with. I'm leaning towards prioritizing shorter shows, just because we can be done with them in 2 to 4 weeks max. But that doesn't mean I will disregard a longer show that wins the poll - I mean Schitt's Creek is 80 episodes long. I'm also increasing the number of shorter episodes I watch in a day from 3 to 4. It pretty much takes the same amount of time to watch two 1 hour long episodes anyway. Just trying to make the whole process more efficient.

2025-03-23 04:26:52 +0000 UTCFree food, clean water, heat, health/dental/eye care (including mental healthcare and any kind of rehabilitation, also reproductive/etc healthcare, and gender-affirming care), prescriptions, decent housing, public transit, education (including post-secondary), child care, basic income, wifi, data/text/talk phone plans and phones, and equal rights for everyone - it would be covered by taxes on non-essential goods and services, and income taxes for people making $50k+/yr.

Maths taught with budgeting, taxes and understanding the distribution of wealth within thier country. Languages learnt by facetiming children in other countries and learning by conversing and making friends. Teaching kids to make things and mend things. Language comprehension and chemistry can be taught in cookery, reading recipes, measuring ingredients and seeing how they interact. Physical exercise by walking your local area, litter picking and planting trees. Education based on memorising and regurgitating facts is foul. It doesn't teach the skills to live and thrive in your environment.
