Hannibal taking care of Abigail doesn't mean it's not true when Abigail said she felt trapped with him though. One doesn't need to be jailed or chained to be trapped by an abuser (see: domestic abuse victims). What decides it is whether there are choices they can choose. Abigail's choices at that time is either following Hannibal's words and save herself or arrested by Jack (remember, Jack has strong evidence of her role in her father's kills) or maybe get killed by Hannibal too because Hannibal at that time didn't want his Chesapeake Ripper identity be known at all. For me, Abigail is always the victimwhod has never had other choice other than capture bonding with her abusers to survive. Hannibal is slowly brainwashing her, but girl looks scared all the time. Unlike Will whom you can see enjoying it after a certain level

I'm not sure I interpret the death of Bedelia's patient like you do. Yes, her first instinct was to help him when he soffucated (because this is what society teaches us), but then she was in a position of power and like for the bird analogy, she was overwhelmed by the want to crush him and she did. Hannibal might have manipulated her to think like that. Or she was already following this line of fantasy before. In any case she murdered her patient because she could. At least that's how I see it
