The show's premise reminds me of the Neal Stephenson book "Snow Crash" - in the same dark way.

2025-02-20 01:38:00 +0000 UTCI don't think corporations would just do this if they could do it ethically. I don't even think they'd be that concerned about legality. I think the only thing stopping them from doing this is that they don't know how to. Yet. ☠️🙃

2025-02-20 00:37:00 +0000 UTC@frankyfreeze I have not received emails for any of the uploads in almost 2 weeks. I have had navigate the fight to try and even find the uploads that I missed. I don’t know how to give you my correct email address without exposing myself to other issues so if you could message me, that would be great.

2025-02-19 21:25:04 +0000 UTCI just started this show last week so I really have no idea what comes next. It freaks me out how everytime Helly tries something, Mark already knows what's gonna happen to her, or tells her she's gonna get caught somehow. It makes me believe he (maybe all of them) already tried it all...

2025-02-17 10:11:14 +0000 UTCHey Frank, your comentary at the end of the reaction remembered me of a movie. Do you know "Country Strong"? I watched it at a sneak preview years ago. At frist I thought, I could not stand it, because I'm not a fan of country music at all. But this movie was so great!!! I had to watch it again a few days later.

2025-02-15 13:24:01 +0000 UTCThat's interesting. The last picture Irving and Burt were looking at remembered me of a painting by Caspar David Friedrich.

2025-02-15 13:02:05 +0000 UTCOh wow, Petey's work self looks so different from his personal self. I feel so sorry for him. And does his death mean that severance is really permanently and that there is no hope for Mark an the others to get reintegrated again? The funeral was thrilling. I love the camera work and the images in this series. I wonder all the time what they actually do in their work. This sort of “museum” about Lumon is so weird. Since Kier talks about the four tempers, woe, frolic, dread and malice, and four people make up a department team at MDR, I wonder if the four are somehow supposed to symbolize these tempers. And why do they keep the departments separate? Both groups seemed completely shocked when they met. But not Irving, he's in love with Burt.💗 Innie Mark can't recognize Ricken, because, the innies remember nothing about the outside world at all. I think, outside Mark never read any of Ricken's books. 😁 This cliffhanger at the end of episode four. 😱😱😱

2025-02-15 12:49:54 +0000 UTCI don't know if it was intended, but the whole deifying of the founder and the confession stuff really reminded me of Scientology??? I don't know if it's supposed to be a comparison tho.

2025-02-13 18:48:56 +0000 UTCAs an art lover I recommend looking for some Basquiat references in Petey's drawing. No spoilers or anything I promise, just something i noticed back in the day and knowing Basquiat's history (specifically with his beef with capitalism and commodifying art) it got my mind racing with theories.

Franklin
2025-02-13 15:53:54 +0000 UTCI love how Mark seemingly went into severance to put up a hard wall between work and life, and yet here is Mark’s boss just poking around his house like WHERE ARE THE BOUNDARIES?

2025-02-13 14:25:30 +0000 UTCwatching this for the first time with u i love this for us!! 🙂↕️ also ive been wondering for a while if u have watched russian doll? i think you’d like it!! i can’t remember if u have mentioned it before lolll

2025-02-13 14:22:37 +0000 UTCI can’t wait for the next few! Love how much you’re picking up on. On innie Mark not knowing who his brother-in-law is, none of them know what their life is like on the outside, they don’t know what outside looks like at all, they don’t remember anyone in their life out there. They don’t know if they’re married, single, have siblings, etc. Him making the tree on the inside at his wellness session after he visited the tree his wife died at shows that bleed-thru Petey was talking about. Maybe it’s emotions specifically, maybe it’s trauma, maybe it’s grief. Lumon believes there can’t be any of that with the severance chip, but they’re wrong.

2025-02-13 03:44:32 +0000 UTCFor clarification: The therapist where Irving went in the previous episodes is called Wellness. The room that Mark went to (in Helly's place) is the same as where Helly is sent in episode 3, which is called the Break Room. Also, remember the tape Petey played of Mark's voice? It was a recording of Mark in the Break Room reading that same statement.

2025-02-13 01:25:09 +0000 UTCit's kinda fun to imagine how rebellious Mark must have been when he first started, to know all these things like "the bad soap" and Milchick having to "extract" messages inside the body. and it's kinda sad to realise how that rebellion has been near completely taken out of him by the time we meet him.
