Love the fact that Rawls has a certain level of respect for Lester. Yes he’s a huge asshole and cares more about ranking up than making a difference but I appreciate the fact he gave Lester his flowers. He’s at least smart enough to recognize what these people like mcnulty and Lester are trying to do, and the fact they are good police, he just doesn’t care bc he lusts for power. Also goes to show how Rawls is willing to use those good police and not bury them, he just really couldn’t stand mcnulty and wanted him buried so bad.

Obviously they don’t spend anytime on screen showing us what happened with his last bf, but obviously we can assume. I think obviously Omar will always love Brandon the most, largely due to the fact Brandon was tortured and killed and never gave Omar up. On the other hand the second bf from last season (I forget his name) gave up Omar to brother muzone. Even in the scene when Omar picks up his bf after they kill stringer he has a clear look and demeanor that seems to show he’s disappointed. Like yeah he’s happy his bf didn’t die or go thru too much brutality, but there’s that part of him that loses respect for him, bc he remembered his first love in the series who died to protect him.

2025-02-04 20:18:21 +0000 UTC'Fore I forget again, It's never brought up from here and I don't recall if ya caught it or not cause it's really subtle but last season when Omar, Dante and the ladies got into that shootout robbing the Barksdale trap house, it was Dante who shot Tosha in the face whilst they were trying to escape. That's partly why he and Kimmy were at each others throats for the rest of that season. Also, I feel ya on the politics and news lately. I have notifications on my phone from the Associated Press and shit has been looking real dark of late. Luckily we've got this feel good show here to get us through it, eh? More than a little sarcasm there, in case it doesn't come through in the text, lol.

I also have to say who wouldn't be cooking food for Dennis? That man is beautiful. When he smiles <3 and his eyes are stunning. When Michael refuses Marlo's money and Michael looks him directly in the eye, Marlo sees him. Cutty/Dennis also sees something in Michael. And Michael just wanting to take care of his little brother Bug. Interesting character! Duquan (Dukie) is the kind of student I would want to take care of. He's so compassionate and empathetic. He gets bullied and made fun of for living in a situation that is not of his own making and totally out of his control. Even though the boys he runs with make fun of him sometimes, too, I am glad that he has a few friends. He really has my heart.
