I mean, it's not the first time I've been called a sell-out for white audiences smh. To be honest I was very anxious about making this poll. This is the biggest my community has ever been and as a retired people pleaser, sometimes the urge to want to cater to everyone strikes. But what I do in times like this is to remind myself to be honest/fair to everybody, as well as acknowledge that I can't please everybody. That being said, I'm aware that you all pay your hard-earned money and are here because you enjoy what I do, and when you recommend your favorite shows is because you want to see me enjoy them as well and have a community to discuss it with. I hope no one feels unheard or left out if their favorite show is in the minority and doesn't get picked. We run a lil democracy here. I consider every recommendation I get but I am only one man with so many hours in a day. 5 shows at once is my limit!
How do I decide what goes in the poll?
Shows that are the most recommended. I take the time to go through all the comments and make a tally (I have receipts). As well as including 2nd/3rd place from some previous polls. Length of the show. Ratings. After finishing some shows, I sometimes ask yall the audience what similar shows you want me to cover. These are some of the factors that go into what's on the poll.
There are so many shows that I desperately want to watch, that have lost the last several polls. And that is FINE, I will someday. And please don't mistake this for me saying I'm not enjoying the shows I'm watching currently. I've been eating GUD from the polls, these last few years. Yall have NEVER led me wrong. Now someone could say "Why don't you just pick what you want to watch yourself"? FAIR. However, as stated earlier, you all are paying for this. If I don't pick what the majority of my paid audience wants, there's a big chance that majority will leave. REMEMBER I do this for passion but it is also my source of income. The majority of you are here paying for the chance to decide what I cover next. If it's just about watching what I want, then I'll do it comfortably on my couch. I hope you all understand what I'm putting down. I know this was a lot but I'm just getting ahead of some of the usual questions that come my way. Much love friends. Happy voting!💐

All I can say is I have watched The Expanse full 6 seasons so many times I have lost count because that is how great it is!! Lives are literally changed by watching this show. So I hope you get around to it someday!!

So many great options but I went with Black Sails over The Expanse -- both absolute faves and great TV, but I have a soft spot for properties that don't have as many reactions or coverage. I also would love to see what Frank's interested in. I find myself rewatching things, or obviously recommending things I've already seen and can vouch for, but like with IWTV or a couple of recent movies, discovering something I hadn't seen before is a joy! Maybe have a slot for "Frank's pick", just one? But I appreciate his explanation of how he balances his choices and what he watches on his own time! It all helps build this wonderful oasis of a channel.

Learning a bit about your tastes since i started watching you w your first episode of IWTV, I know you are gonna appreciate the hell out of this show and every little detail! It’s one of the coolest and most unique shows I’ve ever seen in my life. I love it as does everyone I know who’s seen it and I really think you will too! And Season 2 just started so you’ll have another season to dive into super soon and won’t have to wait 3 yrs like the rest of us did😂😂😂 Just throwing out there that my number two pick for you to watch would be Midnight Mass since it’s a short limited series and delving into more Mike Flanagan can only be a good thing(: then The Expanse because it’s 6 seasons so you can take your time with it. Don't hesitate to tell us what you're most interested in, so we can take that into account in our vote if we want to. 2. Think about using a poll that allows multiple choices so that we can say "I'm fine with any of these!" - I think that will tell you more about what is broadly popular and what is polarizing. 3. Lastly, consider linking to a poll off Patreon where *we can't see the results.* This does two things: first, it prevents people herding to the things that are already ahead (which is very much a thing humans do), and second it allows you to make a balanced decision as a creator based on what you want to watch, what your current audience wants, and what a possible future audience might want. I will continue to vote for Mike Flanagan as I think all of his shows will be right up your alley (except possibly The Midnight Club which left me a little lukewarm) and they are mini series so you could just keep rolling with having one Flanagan show at a time for quite a while. My next choices would be True Detective season 1 and Firefly, in that order. I don't know if I've ever seen a True Detective reaction but I would love it!

I know you've mentioned it in the past that you don't want to watch things with certain themes and it can get VERY dark, but its so well done. Another list labeled "message" for TV & film that convey messages or lessons (eg. Ted Lasso). «Succession» is on both of these lists. It will entertain you and make you think. Yes, it had commercial success BUT even if you don’t watch it on your channel, I think it will enrich you. There is a lot of humour that you will enjoy. It’s also good for views & engagement and expanding the channel’s reach. For lighthearted humour similar to «The Good Place», to add some laughs in your schedule, I think you might like «Schitt’s Creek» and «Shrinking». I think the latter is Harrison Ford’s best work to date (+ it has a healing impact, like Ted Lasso). «Severance» will make you ask a lot of questions [can’t go into details] and you will have a lot of monologues. The 2nd season is airing right now. I really like it. It’s not for everyone and I didn’t expect to like it. Reactors I trust were watching it and that made me give it a try. I love it. I think you will enjoy the mystery.

I’d recommend Succession—it’s one of the best-written shows in recent years imo, with sharp dialogue, incredible performances, and a perfect mix of drama and dark humor. The characters are so compelling (and deeply dysfunctional) that you won’t be able to look away… Plus, if you enjoy intense power struggles and family betrayals, this is peak TV.
