You talked about casting for Janet, and, what I learned in The Good Place podcast is that D'Arcy was up against a child actor. They really had no idea what was going to happen with the character until after they cast her. It's wild

2025-09-15 17:15:42 +0000 UTCI think i watched episodes up until this one in like three days lmao. this show has me literally howling with laughter. it might be the one and only sitcom i will finish, the characters are SO charming and i just have cuteness aggression towards them haha. one thing i really really want to see addressed as of now is the fact that Chidi accidentally rebooted Janet in the very first version of the loop. like?? huh??? and Chidi did that because of Jason, however unaware he is. so now seeing Janet deep inside being sad about Jason's relationship is??? something?? i just can't get Janet's first reboot out of my mind, it makes all that so much more complicated to me as always, love your reactions, much love and thank you for the hard work!! 🌻

When he was a doctor and Michael said "okay, tell them", I about died. His face!! Chidi is the absolute best. And Janet is so amazing! It's true that D'arcy Carden can do everything. Such an amazing acting showcase. So much fun to do and to watch. I wish this show was twice as long, I swear. There are so many ideas to comment, and I love that you give them all their consideration and space.

2025-01-25 13:21:50 +0000 UTCOMGGGG The Smashing Pumpkins is my all time favorite band and D’Arcy Wretzky was my absolute idol as a teenager:) I also had what I now realize was a huge crush on her too😅I named my first kitty after her! I got to see them play with Garbage in 96 as a present for my 16th birthday and we happened to be staying at the same hotel. When we saw them walking out to their bus my friends ran up to say hello and maybe get an autograph and a picture. I was too nervous to say a word or ask for anything, but my friends didn’t have any qualms about it 🤣🤣Billy Corgan was as narcissistic then as he is now and pretty much ignored us, but D’Arcy stopped and signed our tickets and took a cute little picture with James while I absolutely died from happiness quietly watching it all go down. She was absolutely gorgeous and sweet and humble. And now I’m completely in love with this D’Arcy after hearing this story😍 Thank you so much for sharing this! It legit made my day☺️🩵

And the first thing that came to mind was Pinocchio! Pinocchio becoming a real boy. Janet becoming a real woman! I love the focus on Janet thiscycle. I don’t think that Jason and Tahani will be true love they will just end up being very intimate great friends in a pattern of self growth. I can’t wait to find out if Janet and Jason totally end back up in love. And you really can’t wait for the show down between Michael and his bossand we all of this humanized feelings of friendship will come into play! I’m so excited! If anyone hasn’t told you lately, Franklin, how wonderful you are. Please let me be one of the first to say it out loud that you are so appreciated! It’s been a wonderful times spending it with you and this community.

Fun fact - D'Arcy added the apostrophe to her name in junior high because she loved Smashing Pumpkins and basically fell in love with the bassist who was this amazing rocker chick who spelled her name that way. Basically the MOST 90s thing she could have done, which makes me love her even more.

NEEDED THIS! (I’m sure I’ll edit as I watch 🙃) D’Arcy Carden plays Janet so incredibly well. I was elated when you caught on that she’s acting more human and spoke on it. She and Ted Danson (Michael) play the largest spectrum of different versions of themselves, in my opinion, and do such an amazing job.
