2024-09-10 16:34:57 +0000 UTCYes this was three days ago...I'm just catching up on my beloved "Freezy content". Anyhow, he asked, "what do you think about zoos"..very honestly, I will answer. There are differences...many big and popular zoos do have a positive mission. They display captive animals for money, which is used for breeding and repopulating the wild with animals that we, as humans, have endagered. That part of zoos is increadibly noble. However....always that however, as someone who spent most their lives in animal science(for pharmacuetical companies)...I have worked with previous zoo keepers who tell me me very horrid and contradictory stories of their missions...it always has to do with profit. I question alot of policy in and about captive animal treatment. Zoos in general is an EXTREMELY nuanced question to answer. My first vacation since '21 will be in NOLA this October...and I am indeed going to vistit their zoo/aquarium/insecterium. Hate me all you like.

2024-09-09 00:49:50 +0000 UTCI remember when this came out, I was 6 years old and full into my dinosaur phase ๐ I didn't get to see it then, but I did get to see it years later, and then I watched the second movie in the theatre. Blew my 10 year old mind into space ๐ it was the most amazing thing. I would recommend you watch all three movies, even if you dont make them into reactions, just watch them for yourself ๐ Great reaction as always!

2024-09-08 00:57:19 +0000 UTCWhat an amazing movie. I was 11/12 when this came out, and I don't remember if I saw it in the theater, but man I've seen it so many times. I love it, and I love your reaction to it. Someone already mentioned that Nedry's "dad" comment was just a snarky response to some unwanted advice. I'll also mention that, the reason there isn't any staff around at the end of the movie was because of the storm from the previous day. They had required all of the staff to evacuate (they kept mentioning the boats leaving and everyone needed to head to the docks earlier in the movie). That's also where Nedry was headed - in, I assume, a shortcut through the park - the docks, so he could hightail it outta there after stealing those embryos. Anywho- loved this one!! ๐ And looking forward to checking out your new art channel.

2024-09-07 23:49:27 +0000 UTCI don't think Dennis Nedry is actually John Hammond's son, he just said, "Thanks Dad" as a sarcastic reply to being told what to do/how to live his life. Hammond was giving Nedry some harsh feedback and life advice, and Dennis clearly wasn't interested in being told what to do. But, the point you made about how similar they are in regards to how little care they show the raw power and danger around them in order to financially enrich themselves is still very accurate. And probably why they don't get along. They're too alike.

2024-09-07 16:32:54 +0000 UTCOne of the best blockbusters ever. I rewatch it all the time. Honestly, I wouldn't bother with any of the sequels though. The second one was good but none of them come close to the original. I just saw that you loved Back to the Future too and I think, if you haven't seen it already, you'd appreciate Stand By Me. It has so much heart. There are so many movies I'd love to see you react to. Here's just a few; Pan's Labyrinth, Blackkklansman, Judas and the Black Messiah, Manchester by the Sea, Atonement, Brooklyn, Little Women and Edward Scissorhands :)
