Weekly question: If you could live inside a movie, which would you choose?
Shrek! Hands down!! I didn't even need to think of this too much. Since I was a kid, I've always wanted to go to "far far away" and now as a 29-year-old man, I still want to go there! It's so whimsical, so beautiful, and fairy tale creatures?? Sign me up!
Here are some pictures from an intro to painting class I taught these last 3 weeks. It is a beginner class. 4 classes in total, each class is 3 hours long. We chat, play music, I do demonstrations, then they paint and I guide them through the whole process. Think of it less as a class and more as friends hanging out. And who doesn't love painting farm animals😁

Oh and look who got into a basket.. That's where he sits and watches me do these reactions lol

See you in a video very soon and thank you all for your support <3

Funny story about the lady who painted the pig. Halfway through the painting, she was excited because she wanted to gift it to her mom. But at the end of class she was like "nahhh I think I'll keep it"😂 Wow I just looked up Mamma Mia and the vibe looks incredible. Win-win for sure

2024-09-06 01:32:14 +0000 UTCThank you kindly. It's very fun to teach these. I know right the bunnies are so so good. I was definitely smelling some grass, I didn't know where to find roses I love Jeff Goldblum but he's definitely not Zeus energy. Is that the world you'd love to live in?

2024-09-06 01:31:44 +0000 UTCFacts. There is such weirdos haha what do you think they're looking for in there? I've always wondered that. Squid does it a lot

2024-09-06 01:27:17 +0000 UTCYou better scratch that itch ASAP and take a painting class. I would recommend taking a painting class over a drawing class because painting is just like drawings on steroids. Plus colors, so much more fun. And yes I am absolutely being biased 😂 no shame I love how you immediately put "but only if I had magic" haha quite essential. Lord of the Rings post-chaos is so clutch.

2024-09-06 01:26:41 +0000 UTCThank you thank you. I'm proud of them Oh my goodness Narnia. Watching that as a kid I was simply magical. Now I'm jealous of your answer haha I looked up the Fifth Element so I can see a bit of what you're talking about and all I could focus on was Chris Tucker with that hair🤣 Gracias

2024-09-06 01:23:57 +0000 UTCHell yeah I love that answer. They seem so perfect

2024-09-06 01:21:32 +0000 UTCThank you Melissa. Shout out to you for guiding the youth for 30 years. Absolutely it feels great to see young people blossom in their creativity. And yes before I started making reaction videos, I was a full-on art content creator. Not on YouTube though. On tiktok and Instagram. Maybe I'll start posting some of those videos here🤔 I do love my cats. It's on and off haha you know how they are. One moment they piss you off, the other moment you just want to hold them tight. But yeah I love my boys. It took a while initially, but my wife taught me that when they're bothering me, it's because they love me and they really just want attention. How could I be mad at that🧡 And from the moment you guys say you enjoy seeing them on screen, 100%. I will show them off more I absolutely love that you mentioned that lasso. My wife absolutely loves sheets Creek and wants me to watch it. I love your reasons for choosing those two shows.

2024-09-06 01:20:35 +0000 UTC1. Your paintings and seeing the paintings of your students == I love it so much. I'm a recently retired English teacher after 30 years, and I love seeing people pass on their gifts to others. Have you ever done a video talking about your work, your path to art, or any of the paintings we see in your recording studio? I'm always drawn to the one on the right (from my point of view) of the man, but I love them all; it's cool to see you change some out as well to see more of your talents. 2. I love how much you love your cats & that even when they're "disrupting" your recordings, you stop and take the time to give them love and affection. I have two dogs, and I would be the same way. It really shows viewers another layer of who you are as a person. :) 3. I'm going to choose a TV show world not a movie: I would go with either "Ted Lasso" or "Schitt's Creek" because they're both filled with positivity, humans growing/learning to become better, humor, kindness, and just all around GOODNESS. Our world is dark, but I know there is a lot of beauty around us. These two shows bring that to light for me.

2024-09-05 14:05:48 +0000 UTCOmg how could I forget about Kiki's Delivery Service! To this day I still really want to try that fish pie they made. 💚

2024-09-04 01:35:14 +0000 UTCIf I had to live in a movie it would probably be one of Hayao Miyazaki's films, like Kiki's Delivery Service, Howl's Moving Castle, or My Neighbor Totoro. Those places just seem so cozy and whimsical and warm.

2024-09-03 23:34:29 +0000 UTCOh, to be a hobbit in The Shire 😍

2024-09-03 04:35:25 +0000 UTCWhat awesome paintings. They all look really good, and it sounds like a fun thing to do. When I was younger, I loved the first Narnia movie. The idea that I could use a magical wardrobe (or closet in my case) to go back & forth between fantasy and the real world was so appealing. Honorable mention: The Fifth Element. They really killed the world building in that movie. Have a restful week, friend!

2024-09-03 04:34:06 +0000 UTCSuch beautiful paintings! I've been feeling an itch to try out a beginner drawing or painting class, I always wished I'd learned when I was younger. I know the vibes of your classes must be immaculate. ✨ I think I'd want to live in either the Harry Potter universe (but only if I had magic) or the Lord of the Rings post-chaos. Harry Potter for the magic obviously and Lord of the Rings for how pretty/idyllic that world is. Sign me up for the Shire immediately!

2024-09-02 21:41:06 +0000 UTCI'd like to live in Almost Famous, to be on the bus or the plane with a band traveling the country.

2024-09-02 21:39:48 +0000 UTCOh and cats are definitely weirdos. If I have an open empty box, bag or basket in the house, there will a cat sitting in it within seconds 😆

2024-09-02 21:09:15 +0000 UTCWow! Love all the art work, you’re a great instructor. I’d hang any of these on the wall. Love the bunnies especially. And don’t ever worry about taking time. Life is chaotic. You have to do what’s best for you and your family. Stop and smell the roses, as they say. Oh! I did watch an interesting show this weekend. On Netflix. KAOS. It’s Greek Mythology, in modern times. An odd idea, but it works (in my opinion). I loved it. Probably the weirdest part is the actor who plays Zeus. Jeff Goldblum. I love him too, but I would never have thought to cast him for that role. He’s not very Zeusy 😂

2024-09-02 20:59:14 +0000 UTCSuch great paintings. That pig is incredibly adorable. Your basket baby looks very charming in that spot. I would live in the movie Mamma Mia. I have always loved musicals, so the idea that I could watch or be on a musical number. Yes please! Also you live on a gorgeous island in Greece. Win win.
