I think it's just a bit much for some people. I personally really enjoyed it and I wasn't a barbie fan as a kid which is kinda the great thing Greta pulled off.. if u hated barbies, loved them, or have no opinion there is something to take away. That said id be really interested in your thoughts. There's a deeper layer to the movie that some people miss I think. Only Greta could have pulled off! Did it deserve an Oscar nod?...idk but it sure is fun!
