They referenced Anne Frank, the young Jewish girl whose family hid in the annex of her father's business during WWII/Holocaust. They eventually were caught and all died except her father. She famously kept a diary that her father published: The Diary of a Young Girl. 📖

2024-08-27 16:28:18 +0000 UTCI’m so frustrated that my culture believes: a beautiful friendship between Rebecca and Ted must lead to sex, right?; the “it” in a night full of gezellig must mean sex, right?; that the ultimate outcome in intimacy is sex, right? imho, WRONG!!! The English language is so limited when it comes to describing ‘love’ or ‘sex’. I love my boyfriend and I love my cat. Not the same thing. To have ‘sex’ can be joyous; it can be demeaning. It can be so many things but we don’t have words that embody the nuances. The lack of nuance in our language hinders the awareness of the nuances in life, imho.

A call back to S1 Ep07 and Ted’s options for team bonding when in the hotel the night before an away match: Movie night or PILLOW FIGHT? Ted’s comment when the team dismissively chooses movie night? “All right. But I tell you what, y’all say “pillow fight” one time, and we’ll never watch another movie together again!” As for Issac’s meltdown, with its shades of Shakespeare, could it embody the team’s struggle to find its way, its cohesion, its unity after the departure of Zava? It’s time now for Richmond to become RICHMOND!!!
