The important thing is you find what you love and enjoy and stick with it. I love that that's books for you. Thankful for you and your friendship and for always sharing the importance of that connection in spirit. Blessings to you and your family and all your babies

2024-08-14 05:26:52 +0000 UTCI don’t have a television or streaming I could never figure it out and even when my grandchildren and children tried to show me I just lost interest in television and went back to what I always loved was books. I made it grand list of books during Covid isolation for two years, not able to see any family. The journey I just took thus far has been so amazing, spirit filling and rejuvenating my belief in great writing, acting. Dear Franklin, though we will never meet in the flesh, my journey with you and your narratives has brought me, a new friend something that is precious. It is through your honest, emotional, and open heartedness that added to this specific series gives me such great gratitude that has been a blessing in my life that I knew I needed, but didn’t think I would ever have. Many blessings to you, to those you love and to those who love you in return.

2024-06-01 19:49:50 +0000 UTCI've heard about parks and recreation a lot. People kind of talk about it in the same space as the office. I definitely feel how that is satisfying. Thank you John, I like to connect with these characters. They have a lot to give and teach us. Thanks for being here

2024-06-01 19:46:19 +0000 UTCThe only show that I found that makes me feel better than this one or just as good, is Parks and recreation. It's just when people are pulling for each other and it focuses on the friendships and the growth of the people in the show it's so much more satisfying. I really like the way you relate with it too! You seem like a really cool guy that takes things to heart. I'm kind of new around here but I really like it! Thanks a bunch Frank have a good day! Peace thanks!

2024-05-30 15:29:53 +0000 UTCBrett Goldstein (Roy) is a writer on the show. He tells a great story about how after writing the first 5 episodes he really felt connected to the character of Roy. He sent the showrunners a video of himself doing some of Roy's scenes and they hired him for the part. Which landed him 2 Emmys for best supporting actor.

2024-05-28 15:24:51 +0000 UTCYes I did🕺🏾 I hear what you're saying there. Very huge change for him. the devil🤣🤣 no I think you were right the first time. Rupert and the devil are synonyms. Thank you thank you. My issue with some people who don't understand characters like Rebecca is they don't ask themselves "why".. After just villainizing her they get intellectually lazy,... Like, keep going, keep asking yourself why, to get to the root of why her character is the way she is. And yes you are right her physical acting sometimes does a lot more than the words, her gestures, her different movements, the way she stands confidently and maybe slouches a little bit when she's being berated. She's so so good. Spot on. I love your perspective on that scene. That moment being the point where she did not want to be like Rupert any longer. Chefs kiss yoooooooooooooooooooo coach beard is freaky as fuck🤣 all those throwaway lines, like I need more information. I need more backstory lol. Not normal at all. You're very welcome. I'm glad you came along for the journey. hehe yeah I got a little sum sum every now and then😁

2024-05-28 14:36:34 +0000 UTCGod that is so true. Same way Rupert was blaming her and Ted during the darts game at the bar. I know I didn't say much about it during the watch, but it made my stomach turn when I saw him and his new girlfriend celebrating during the game. Like why does HE get to enjoy this? I agree, part of winning and getting over it is not expending your energy and waiting for their downfall. Thanks for sharing that. Watching this movie with your dad or just someone you love that is definitely better. I plan to watch season 1 again with my wife and also enjoy her reaction the same way you guys are enjoying mine haha I hear you, in a world where misogyny is the norm, hopefully, any good thing we do plays a little part in maybe changing one person's mind at a time🧡 at least for the ones who don't know any better, who are just toxic because that is the norm. There's definitely a lot of Faith and Hope for them. We're all just cogs in the machine of making the world better, at least that's what I believe. Rebecca by far is my favorite character. Our baby girl was suffering so much at the hands of that dick head. And to the people who love to vilify especially female characters without giving them the time of day to hear what they're going through, shut the fuck up for once! I was fighting the urge throughout this season to compare her to "Jenny from Forrest Gump" I don't know if you've seen that movie. But the way people, especially men demonize her without acknowledging all the abuse she had been through till that point was honestly baffling to me, To this day I think about it. And I made that reaction last December. To this day I get people in my comment sections still saying " She's the worst villain in movie history"... Like what are these guys smoking?? Anyway, I went on a tangent there. I remember the episode where Sassy was telling Keeley how Rebecca used to be silly and confident and how much she loved to sing. That was so heartbreaking because you know all of that changed because of that asshole Rupert. I'm getting hot just thinking about it. But yes we love her because we know people like her. Thanks for your kind words. Look forward to sharing more with you

2024-05-28 14:16:29 +0000 UTC🥹🥹 thank you for the high praises. There's no point watching stories like this if you don't let it move you. I'm going to continue sharing how these stories move me. Thanks for saying that and thanks for watching. This show was a freaking gift

2024-05-28 13:45:28 +0000 UTCYou made it through Season 1! 🙌🏽 Ted & his ex met in college. So, his relationship with his ex was likely one of, if not his first & only, big relationships. Huge change for him to go from sleeping with one person for 10-15 years, to someone new all of a sudden. That’s why I think he looks shocked, but not really upset. I also cry every time I watch that scene with Rebecca & the Devil, I mean Rupert, and all the way up to her confession. I love your reactions b/c you always are empathetic to people’s pain & motivations. You loved Rebecca from the start, and never stopped even once finding out her plan. That scene with Rupert is still one of my favorite Rebecca moments from all 3 season, all owing to her actress, Hannah Weddingham. Every microexpression in her face after Rupert essentially tells her he did want a child, just not with her - utterly heart wrenching. We don’t know what’s going on in her brain, but I think that was the final push to get her to confess because she could no longer stand being as cruel & vindictive as Rupert is, no matter her need for revenge. In that moment, she was so acutely aware of the pain & damage she was causing, and she said Enough. Btw, remember in the first vid when you said Beard was “the normal one”? 😂 Thank you so much for reacting to this show. I knew it would be a major hit for you. Always love your insights & reflections. “We always expect people to hate our guts the way we hate ourselves for what we’ve done.” Whew, you’ve got almost as many good lines as Ted does.

2024-05-28 07:53:04 +0000 UTCThe thing that Rebecca never understood about her plan to make Richmond lose is that Rupert wins either way. Like any narcissist, if his team wins, it's HIS team that won. If they lose, he gets to blame Rebecca and Ted and he still wins. The only way to beat someone like Rupert is to let him beat himself. Even if it never happens, at least you're not expending your energy on someone who doesn't deserve it. Thank you for these reactions. I originally watched this show with my dad, and it's really lovely to experience someone discovering the joy it brings. I live in a city where toxic masculinity is having a renaissance and being able to see a man appreciate messages about accountability, female empowerment, forgiveness, etc. restores my faith in humanity a bit. I especially appreciate your comments about Rebecca's character. Many people immediately paint her with the broad brush of villainy until episode nine. You always saw that the constant abuse by Rupert is the only reason for her behavior and that she is not one-dimensional. Very perceptive and emotionally intelligent. Can't wait to see you continue with season two!
