2025-03-01 15:51:45 +0000 UTChaha It must be amazing right? Watching people realize the truth like that. I think this movie and the Sixth Sense are still the top for plot twists for me

2024-05-26 21:09:16 +0000 UTCOne of my fave pastimes is to watch people react to this movie and chuckle to myself when they realise the plot twist. It’s amazing haha ! Same with The Sixth Sense.

2024-05-26 18:35:49 +0000 UTCI'm glad you're catching up. I'm always amazed when people watch my reactions and is the first time they're watching the movie. Both of us are literally going in side by side. Thanks for mentioning Mystic River. I'll look it up. Everything about this movie was amazing. What do you think about that ending? Do you think he was faking his regression or do you think he was completely sane and just wanted to forget/lose his mind?

2024-05-23 17:52:27 +0000 UTCI'm behind on so many of my fave creators, but was so glad to catch up here! I've actually never seen this movie, so this was a first time for me also. Dennis Lehane was prob my fave author in the early 2000's, he writes a lot of Boston detective noir. A handful of his books have been adapted into movies, most famously Mystic River dir. by Clint Eastwood. (Watch if you haven't, it's brilliant!) Anyway, this movie did a pretty good job of unveiling the truth, and I'm kinda glad I hadn't read the book in many years bc I'm not always a fan of adaptations. Leo is so brilliant! Great supporting cast and location as well, Scorsese and Leo together always make for great viewing. You're total belief in what was told as fact, only to be wrecked by the truth was prob exactly mine with the book. Losing my mind has always been a deep fear of mine, it's scary af. Good times!

2024-05-23 02:45:21 +0000 UTChaha you are so right. Later on I noticed everyone trying their best to play their part. Especially after the group therapy section. You can hear one of the workers telling another to focus and not look at him too much. Freaking incredible. So many breadcrumbs. Thanks for watching man. Glad you enjoyed it

2024-05-20 21:45:47 +0000 UTCIMO one of the great films of the 21st century, because of the beautiful humanity of the story. When you watch it again and catch all the other staff members participating in the role play as best they can, some breaking easily (e.g., the guard running away in Ward C laughing to himself), some fully committed, it enhances the film more. Your reaction to the film was so pure, and you caught Andrew's final decision to let go, and "die a good man." So tragic and beautiful at the same time.

2024-05-20 18:26:48 +0000 UTCHe's so good. Poor things is on my list

2024-05-20 18:26:25 +0000 UTCIt's so sad that he would rather go through lobotomy than remember those memories. So understandable though. And oh my goodness, I did not recognize Buffalo Bill 😭🤣 he was so much older. I only realized that while watching a breakdown of the movie later on. This made me think about his line "I'm an evil man" or " I'm a man of violence" or something in that realm. I was like "ahhh I see what you guys did there" haha

2024-05-20 18:20:34 +0000 UTCI hear you Benjamin. I'll do better with that. Appreciate it

2024-05-20 18:17:05 +0000 UTCYou are so right. That line was phenomenal. I would probably want to get rid of those memories too if I could. Holy shit she wasn't holding any glass😲.. Also, water is used a lot throughout the whole movie and has a lot of symbolism connecting to how she drowned their kids.
Franklin
2024-05-20 18:15:57 +0000 UTCYes, at the end he realized he couldn't live with himself and the things he'd been thru. Bringing the last line "would you rather live as a monster or die as a good man". Phenomenal line. And you'll see some other stuff pop up when you edit. Hint: notice the water glass when they're interviewing the lady that killed her husband with an axe. 😉

2024-05-20 05:56:33 +0000 UTCIf I could make one request - would it be possible to raise the volume of the movie's sound during your reactions? I often like to watch your reactions whilst doing other things (such as studying) and I often find myself struggling to hear what the actors are saying. Great reaction as always :)
Benjamin
2024-05-19 19:55:24 +0000 UTCI agree that he was acting at the end because he didn’t want to live with those memories. I didn’t realize that until the second watch, though. So, you are quicker than me! By the way, did you recognize Buffalo Bill from Silence of the Lambs? You didn’t say anything when you saw him, so I wasn’t sure! He was the Warden!
Mystel Jensen
2024-05-18 02:11:49 +0000 UTCIt took me seeing this ending again to realize that he is faking the regression at the end. The breakthrough was real. He can’t live with what he’s done or the knowledge that he is a dangerous patient. He wants to be freed, as his wife wanted to be freed, but for him the way out isn’t death but a surgical obliteration of his personality.

2024-05-17 23:26:01 +0000 UTCYes, he has chosen the lobotomy at the end. He wants the pain to end.

2024-05-17 23:23:26 +0000 UTCThis Mark Ruffalo and the one in Poor Things are from separate planets! What an actor.
