This one isn't a first watch for me, but it's been a long time since I last saw it. I remembered the general premise but apparently I'd forgotten most of the detail. Man, what a great film. Thanks for the reminder!

I think it makes his character more noble. Absolutely I have to check out Equalizer. Better than John Wick? Honestly I believe it. It's Denzel Washington. Déjà vu on the list as well

2024-04-25 00:35:47 +0000 UTCThe tension between Denzel and the wife is there because there is a plotline in which they hook up, which ends up being cut. I highly recommend watching Equalizer if you like the Denzel retired badass who comes out of retirement to do good and rescue people. In my opinion, Equalizer is way better than John Wick. Also, please check out Deja Vu.

Tony Scott is a legend with action movies, he's most known for Maverick & Enemy of the State, he's got these super fast edits and unusual camera style. His brother Ridley Scott is a cinema genius and has a background in Art so he really understands composition (see Gladiator or Blade Runner) Denzel is never boring, he's always taps into his humanity and gives us complicated, multi faceted characters. I suggest, Inside Man, it's a Spike Lee joint, and it keeps you guessing!
